Ikoria released some really great cards that haven't been explored enough, and one those groups of cards are the menace cards. There are some really interesting reasons to build around menace, such as Labyrinth Raptor and Trynn, Champion of Freedom and Silvar, Devourer of the Free .

In searching for the best commander to head a menace deck, I settled on running the partner commanders Tymna the Weaver *f-etch* and Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder *f-etch* (or as he's better known in my deck, Dennis). Tymna typically comes down somewhere between turn 2 - 4, and you'll almost guaranteed to be smashing in every turn forward and drawing 1-3 extra cards per turn. Trust me, I've never missed a land drop in this deck.

The other keyword in this deck is double strike. Wanna make already awkward blocks even more awkward? Give those creatures a way to kill the effective creatures during first strike damage prior to their creatures even getting the opportunity to deal damage. A card like Savage Beating can (and has) been able to end games out of nowhere with dealing 30+ damage to multiple opponents over multiple combats in a single turn. And if you needed any other reason to be running Double Strike with Menace, just consider that the combination of the two mechanics is now known as Denace in my play group (mission accomplished).

Other powerhouse cards in this deck are definitely Greven, Predator Captain and Ruinous Ultimatum . But you'll be amazed at how well menace creatures begin to come together, especially with the new menace lord(ish) Frillscare Mentor which will pump your creatures to frightening sizes.

Hope to hear some thoughts on the deck! Being playing it online for the past month and I can't wait to be playing it in paper once things get back to normal. This deck is one of the more aggressive decks I've built and will punish durdly decks for taking early turns off. Plus being rewarded for attacking due to Tynma's ability is easily one of the best compensations for not running green to ramp. Trust me, as I said previously you will not miss a land drop with this deck.
