Really cool deck, and easy to build too! You might want to put in some way to counter spells so you can protect the Quest, because your opponent will surely try to get rid of it. I would also take out the Scourge of Fleets, it's not really all that useful with only 7 Islands. You'd need at least 3 or 4 Islands out in order to get enough value out of its ability.

Okay good call with Scourge of Fleets, removed him and Read the Bones and added in 2 Dissolve. Also took out 1 Extract from Darkness, since it is the alternate win-con more then anything and should be treated as a backup plan, and it can really hurt if drawn in your first hand. I also took out two Clockspinning for Brainstorm and took out 1 swamp and added 3 Islands.

Also traded 1 Trench Gorger for Wrexial, the Risen Deep since his effect is really only a one off.

You might actually want to look at Dissipate instead of Dissolve, you can run into a lot of graveyard recursion and exiling a big spell of theirs would be more important than getting to scry.

Dissipate would definitely be a more defensive play then Dissolve, you're right. I chose Dissolve though because it lets me Scry, which is so important to this deck's strategy. Scrying every turn once you have Quest for Ula's Temple out is pretty much needed to guarantee you get your creatures out as quickly as possible, or else you are going to be overwhelmed without any way of responding, plus it's such as a useful effect to have.

I'll add Dissipate to the sideboard just as a measure of precaution, because you're right that exiling something big could save the game, and losing 2 scry cards would not hurt that much anyways

Have you thought about using something to help speed up Ula's Temple, like Thrummingbird or Tezzeret's Gambit? Proliferate could be helpful.

I've considered a lot of different mechanics to generate tokens and speed up Ula's. Clockspinning and just making sure you have a creature for top deck every turn is just the best way to do I think. Thrummingbird only adds the counters when it deals combat damage, which really restricts its usefulness. Tezzeret's Gambit would be useful, and the card draw could be useful, but its too expensive for even 3 mana. This deck runs 19 lands and is completely centered around using 1 mana drops because they can be played with the limited amount of land in the deck, and they can all be grabbed with transmute from Dizzy Spell as soon as you do have 3.

Awesome!

Might use this as a base for a Pirate deck I've wanted to do for awhile.

If you do be sure to link the deck back here! I've been toying with moving away from the gimmicky build of Ula's, and have seriously thought of doing something along those lines, a la Pirates of the Caribbean Release the Kraken style.
