In all seriousness, Stax is the strategy of denying your opponent's resources, forming a game-state where your enemies are completely hard-locked out of the game. After your opponents are pacified, you can finish them off with an array of finishers, ensuring the game ends with prompt efficiency.

Typically, when I think Stax, I picture an array of artifacts and enchantments assembled painstakingly to completely shut down the opposition. While that is certainly one path to victory, effectively Staxing your opponents implements a blend of strategically placed artifacts, enchantments, and creatures that all play a part in denying resources. That term of "resource denial" is very important, Stax isn't simply countering and removing things, but ensuring opponents never have the ability to play the game.

The Creatures There are more creatures in this deck than any other card type, and with good reason. In addition to providing many strong Stax effects, these creatures provide the deck with a vehicle for ending the game. Cards like Shaman of Forgotten Ways and Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite being among this deck's finishers outside of commander damage.
