Bird Tactics!

Derevi, the finest tactician in the land! Her winning tactics consist of attacking the other player head-on over and over again. If she dies, just use her ability to put her back on the field and ignore the Command Zone penalty, making her functionally immortal. This is a Voltron deck since I'm not a fan of many control and/or lockdown sets, which is what Derevi seems to be used for more often than not. Pretty much the only way to win with this deck is to do a lethal amount of commander damage. All of the other creatures are there to support Derevi. There aren't any special combos to speak of.

To help Derevi out there are several cards with Exalted to boost her when she attacks. To keep Derevi from being overwhelmed by enemy creatures, there are cards such as Silent Arbiter and Dueling Grounds. Defensively, this deck is filled with Pillow Fort cards such as Ghostly Prison and Propaganda. Several of the Soul Sisters are also around to help keep the player alive long enough to get Derevi up and running, which works out well since they trigger every time Derevi comes back from the Command Zone.

For the Voltron aspect, Derevi mostly uses equipment since that usually sticks around after she's killed. Some pieces of equipment, such as Hero's Blade and Ronin Warclub will attach to her automatically every time she enters the battlefield. Grafted Wargear is another fun piece of equipment that attaches for free and Derevi doesn't really need to worry about its penalty. Other cards, such as Stonehewer Giant and Sigarda's Aid, can help to quickly turn Derevi into a powerhouse.

Inspiring Statuary gets a special notice as the card can be very handy for casting non-artifact spells. The great thing about running an equipment-based Voltron deck is that equipment can be tapped for the Improvise mechanic and not affect their functionality. It also doesn't tap the creature itself if they're attached to it. It effectively makes Derevi a colorless mana battery when she's wearing her gear (although you can tap and use the equipment for Improvise even if it's not attached to her).
