I decided to take a break from playing Combo focused decks and made a tempo deck. Derevi, Empyrial Tactician is traditionally played as a stax/prison deck. But I enjoy being invited to my play-group and so I did not make derevi this way.

Instead Derevi is used to generate incredible value out of cards like Birthing Pod, granting solid ramp by untapping Mana Vault and Grim Monolith, and stacking her triggers with an Azami, Lady of Scrolls for some powerful card draw. To win, the deck focuses on controlling the board and out valueing your opponent until you eventually win through combat damage. To help with this we have creatures like Shalai, Voice of Plenty and Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite to beef up our creatures, Archetype of Imagination to give them evasion, and Avenger of Zendikar to give us an instant army.
