Standard has not seen many combo decks of late, unless you count rally. Descent of the dragons, the most cool looking and flavoursome card from dragons of tarkir (please argue that in the comment section) has so much potential. This deck relies on the combo of Descent of the Dragons and Dragon Tempest. Cards such as Jace, Vryn's Prodigy   and Jeskai Ascendancy let you cycle through to get the two combo pieces, and of course Dig Through Time helps there too.

Other cards such as Wild Slash and Valorous Stance let you prevent early aggro, as well as keeping your creatures alive, procing prowess triggers and filling the graveyard ready for Dig Through Time.

The way the combo works: when a dragon enters the battlefield, if you have Dragon Tempest out, you can direct x damage at a creature or player, where x is the number of dragons under your control. When you cast Descent of the Dragons, however many creatures you turn into dragons, all enter the battlefield simultaneously. If 3 dragons enter, then 3 damage can be directed for each of the 3 dragons. If 5, then 25 damage.

Dragon Tempest gives the dragons haste, so you can swing and finish your opponent off if the combo damage wasn't enough. Dragon Tempest works well with Dragonlord Ojutai, giving it haste and allowing you to pro its ability that turn, and of course dealing at least 1 damage.

If you have any suggestions or criticisms, please post in the comments below. And of course plus one the deck if you like it. Thanks :)
