This is a Klothys, God of Destiny MLD (Mass Land Destruction) Prison list for cEDH/high power. The main difference between this and other Klothys MLD lists I've seen floating around the net is that this one is built around land-based acceleration as opposed to more traditional artifact turbo, which while slightly less explosive ultimately benefits our strategy by allowing a higher land count which naturally MLD-proofs the deck compared with most competitive lists running fewer lands. This also lets us cards like Collector Ouphe and Null Rod free of consequence, which is great. We also run more hard MLD spells than most other Klothys lists I've seen (8 vs the typical 4-5). The land theme fits with the deck's strategy of board control through sweepers; we want to minimize blowing up/shutting off our own sh*t and maximize our recovery potential when we inevitably do blow up lands. The core idea of the deck is to 'MLD-proof' yourself using Klothys and other recovery cards such as Life from the Loam, Thawing Glaciers, Shigeki, Jukai Visionary, Wrenn and Six, Ragavan, etc. which allow you to quickly reestablish after an MLD spell. Because I wanted to make the MLD and Klothys herself to be the primary wincons, I really tried to max the amount of MLD+sweeper bombs, artifact hate to slow our opponents, and anti-counterspell measures above all else. I cut any unrelated combos to focus on MLD cards which provide '1-card-wins' with Klothys out as opposed to 2-piece combos like Dualcaster Mage/Twinflame which are more likely to be dead by themselves, and which are also vulnerable to creature removal (same deal w Kiki). I am still running Underworld Breachfoil because it's really good outside of combo situations and usually it just helps us dig+ramp into MLD or a big Finale of Devastation. Most of the time we kill players by grinding them down with Klothys over 10+ turns while preventing them from doing anything meaningful by shutting off all of their mana and exiling their combo cards out of the yard. I have found this strategy to be surprisingly effective, as well as satisfying to play offering lots of strategic and political choices, and of course the fun of resolving massive uncounterable MLD spells (fun for us at least!)

tl;dr The deck is designed to punish the greediest top tier decks in the format by turning off their artifacts and nonbasic manabase. Some decks will of course be able to subvert this and you will lose some games, getting narrowly edged out from unlucky draws or perhaps massively blown out by a Teferi's Protection. Even so, this deck is quite capable of bringing an entire table of tier 1 cEDH decks completely to their knees and slowly crushing the life out of them all, and I think that's pretty sweet.

Thieves' Auction is a bit of a cheeky include but it provides a second way to deal with scary indestructible permanents or planeswalkers which we otherwise have trouble removing, so aside from being a fun card I think it's actually quite good.
