I agree with the guys above and also you should think about duels and shocks cause they would help your mana pool a whole lot.

A little to scattered. I think you should refine the deck idea a bit more.

Can someone define how the deck is scattered? Or at least a idea tp focus around?

Too much of your deck is one-of's. Aggro decks want to have playsets of cards in order to maximize consistency. You say that this is a deck that's aggro with small-CMC creatures, yet you run things like Molten Primordial and Planar Cleansing , which will gum up your hand if you ever see them.

Wow this deck is everywhere at once. I see Detain, I see Extort and a whole bunch of single cards. You can do this deck with a lot less singles and a lot better creatures and spells. It depends what you want from the deck. I mean what do you really want it to do?

Since you're running 2 colors, I would strongly recommend running some Boros Guildgate s at the very least. If you can afford to, you can toss in some Sacred Foundry s and some Clifftop Retreat s.
I would toss out some of the higher costing creatures and toss in 4 of each of Frontline Medic , Boros Elite , Bomber Corps , Daring Skyjek , Boros Reckoner and Boros Charm . That should give you a solid creature base to work around, and Boros Charm will help keep your creatures alive. You can also toss in Blasphemous Act to cast after making Boros Reckoner indestructible from Frontline Medic or Boros Charm and deal a ton of damage straight to your opponent.
If you can afford to, I would also toss in Legion's Initiative and Tajic, Blade of the Legion .

Also, aggro and life-gain decks are kind of opposite ideas. I would just pull all the cards that are geared towards life-gain. All aggro decks have weaknesses, but life-gain is rarely the answer.

Not exactly budget, but you can pull cards and toss in cheaper ones where you need to:

you may have 4 copies of card you consider are under your strategy and also from 8-12 one drops to ensure a good start then.....high mana cost will either require a good control of the borad or ramp for land searching and since your deck is aggro i would recommedn to dont go over 5 CMC even on 5CMC dont put much creatures or cards, that way your deck will move more smoothly whyle playing meaning you will be able to cast a spell or creature every turn instead of getting stuck with cards in hand that cost too much

Why the Guardians of Akrasa ? The exalted seems kind of counterproductive with all of the Battalion
June 17, 2013 2:53 a.m.
You should DEFINITELY swap Guardians of Akrasa for Basilica Guards it's an added source of damage, lifegain and it is strictly better P/T wise, for the mana cost.
That being said this deck seems like it's trying to do both defense and offense, though it doesn't feel like it would be excelling at either. I think you should cut some of your offensive creatures, such as Viashino Firstblade or Bomber Corps in favour of more control. Cloudshift helps you protect your creatures whilst getting another "detain 2 creatures" ETB ability, out of a Azorius Justiciar . Also you should up Searing Spear to a 4 - of and maybe even include Warleader's Helix for a total life difference swing of 8!

@Dallie I completely agree with your suggestion on dropping the creatures and adding Warleader's Helix and Basilica Guards .

Also if you're hellbent on keeping the pure lifegain cards, you should, in my opinion swap Angel's Mercy for Rest for the Weary .
June 17, 2013 6:57 a.m.
Though I might add, that unless it's a lifegain deck, I would not run cards that only gain you life.
June 17, 2013 7:26 a.m.
Would probably take out the Angel's Mercy for more burn damage, then.
June 17, 2013 11:58 a.m.
I'm confused. How is this deck supposed to win? It is a nice idea, but sees to lack the power needed to close the game.
It does a lot of stalling, but that is about it. Detain is only a short term affect. Even if you throw all the burn at their face, you still need to be able to push through with creatures to get the win. I figure you are looking at no more than 3 creatures ever being detained at the same time. With few ways to remove them, your opponent looks to have a good chance of walking all over you in the mid game.
On play testing, I saw that you really were able to hold the early game down. But, once the mid game came and more creatures were on the board, this deck gets pushed right off the cliff. The early game is all the more critical, as enough damage has to be dealt in that time so you are not forced to push through more than twice come the mid game.
Blind Obedience is needed here. This basically detains every creature the turn they come out, preventing blockers and hastey critters from messing with your plans.
Boros Charm might be able to help too.

A little too out there and all over the place. Think about having less of everything and more of one thing and then when it comes time to drawing what you need, the odds will be in your favor.
