Ever tried the Isochron Scepter and Silence combo? Guaranteed to make your opponents not talk.

Grand Arbiter Augustin IV can be pretty good in this deck so your big guys get real cheap.

Venser, the Sojourner Works well with Lavinia of the Tenth and any other creature that detains when it comes into play.

Thank you for the suggestion Therandus! I was considering taking out Archon of the Triumvirate for some more room and to get rid of that 5 cmc, what do you think?

Personally I'm not a fan of that card, mana cost is a bit too high for a 4/5 flyer, and there are better detain effects in the game.

Oh if you wanted even more control over your opponent, there are cards like Grand Abolisher that don't let them cast spells on your turn, or Curse of Exhaustion which limit their spells to 1 per turn. Really shuts down some rush decks if you get it early enough.

Maybe add some Negates, Disdainful Strokes, Ojutai's Commands, and Dissolves? I do like it though, just not a lot of counters for control. +1
