It was not an oversight. I lose two cards with Dark Deal and its really bad if Leo isn't in play. I am happy to check out your list

Thank you for your feedback, also on the card. Note that in my list there are no Timetwister and ManaDrain because I don't own a copy right now :)

Lilbrudder here is the final list I brewed after a lot of play against my tuned friends: Leovoldo di Caprio (tuned ver.).It's amazing, I am so so so happy with it, I eventually took a step back on some cards I suggested you because I haven't found them that useful as I thought, I am speaking about Bring to Light and Piracy. Pros about this list:
- it can make a good use of tons of mana.
- is reliable on adapting to pretty much, no kidding, every situation (I won against Brago stacks by turn 13 when I had only 1 life and he 35)
- can survive very well to the negation of one of your possible win conditions.
Please take a look, your list helped me A LOT to understand and to start loving this general, I am here to bring you the fruits of almost (I think) 70 hours of work on our favourite passive aggressive elf from Trest.

(I included a description of medium length about the purpose of some cards and on the working system of the win conditions, nothing more than any thing I could think at the moment while I was reporting the list)

WOW. Love this deck. I keep thinking to myself "that is just merciless" but really it's about destroying a whole table of people who are bent on doing the same to you.
My question is this- do i have to race to get to my win con first or can I durdle a bit and f with everyone in the process then spring the win con, depending on how quickly the table is assembling strength?
I got ahold of a leovold out of a pack and people have been hounding me for him. Figured I ought to do something epic with him if I'm going to keep him.

Thanks man! Yeah this kind of ruthlessness is necessary in cEDH, but if everyone is playing this kind of game its super fun. This is actually an outdated list I am planning on merging with my paradox engine Leo build soon. The great thing about Leo is you can pick your spots. He's a hell of a hate bear and with a strong color scheme he can go fast or slow.

why do you run cards like brainstorm, ponder, and gitaxian probe?

They help with consistency a great deal. Lets say I have a great hand with only one land. Ponder and brainstorm can help me get my second land drop. They also give me me access to more of my library each game. Gitxian probe is a free draw spell, which makes my deck one card functionally smaller, it makes topdeck tutors much better, and it also is essential for doomsday piles. In short they are simply great cards that makes almost any deck that runs them better. If I could run extra copies of all 3 I would, but the quality drops off considerably after those 3

Lilbrudder how is your local commander league assigning points, out of curiosity?

I don't actually play at an LGS anymore Even before I started brewing cEDH decks and I refused to play fast combo my lists were a bit too intense for my LGS and the salt was real even when I held back. When I do play these days, its on cockatrice in a four player pod with like minded peopke from the discord

Lilbrudder Yes, I know what you mean. Anyway it all depends on which is the mindset of the moment. If I am playing on a friday afternoon along with a beer and trusty friends, I consider on not playing that puzzlebox at all. Or even on not playing Leovold. If anyway we are doing a "serious" tournament with store credits as prize, being salty is their problem. If they want to focus they are allowed to do it, I still see it as an advantaged matchup for our Leovold. If it happens that the table on a competitive match at my place is made out three people I kind of always win it. Except for rare cases. There are no unfriendly decks, only unfriendly plays.

I totally agree. Ultimately I could make my playgroup sort of happy but intentionally playing badly so their unnecessarily terrible decks had a chance eventually got old. I still have some casual decks I play with friends who know thier stuff and I thoroughly enjoy the experience. Its just very hard to find that right balance in casual edh. Thats why I prefer cEDH. Everyone is going all out so you can just play to the best of your ability and make plays based on what will win as opposed to what will make my opponents feel ok about themselves lol

I just wanted to say this perfectly sums up how I feel. There are lots of games that are cooperative or softhearted. Magic is not one of those. I'm a friendly guy who likes friendly games, but I also like Magic, and there's no point playing Magic like that :p

Oh well lol. I am just pissed they don't have the banned as commander clause anymore, which would allow great cards like Leo to have a place in edh. In retailiation I vow to make the most oppressive flash hulk deck ever...

Well, my storm Nekusar list works a little bit better now I guess

Lilbrudder you missed this card (and me too until now): Dark Deal. Also I eventually pass you my control-oriented list, brewed to survive games of endurance, but also to have at least three win conditions. The Revenant.
