It is extremely late where I am, but this deck is made for when you don't want friends. I'll come back when I'm not so tired and can look over the deck a little more thoroughly. Thanks for the compliment on my other deck, and this deck is just...not nice haha.

As soon as I saw this card, I had the same idea. Some more spot removal would help destroy early threats, though. Also, you may want more cards that make the table trash their hands like Whispering Madness and Dark Deal to increase your odds of drawing them early. Golgari Thug and his friends have something to say here, too. Overall, great control deck. +1

Thank you :-) I dont run all the wheels because some of them are really bad. Dark Deal in particular I dislike due to it costing me 2 cards. Whispering Madness is better, but I would rather play a card like Personal Tutor, which adds more versatility to the deck overall. I agree more spot removal would be nice. Any you would suggest?

Ashes to Ashes, Reality Shift, Curse of the Swine, Silence the Believers, Oubliette, Hero's Downfall, Snuff Out, Slaughter. Some creature spot removal for you.
Krosan Grip, Maelstrom Pulse, Pernicious Deed, Acidic Slime, Reclamation Sage. Some non-creature spot removal.

I also don't see Perplex in here. With your commander's restrictive ability, it magnifies the repercussions should someone actually choose to discard their hand.
Plus it can Transmute to find Doomsday.

Raging_Squiggle: Thank you for the info. Of the cards you mentioned, I like Krosan Grip, Maelstrom Pulse, and Reality Shift the most. Krosan for the split second, pulse for the versatility, and reality shift for exile. I already am using pernicious deed :-)
I had Perplex in an earlier version of the deck, but as good as Leo's mass discard is I don't want to be too dependent on it since everyone will be wise to it in a week or two. I highly doubt I would use it for anything but a tutor and I am already using 11 tutors I like more. Between those and my 4 wheel effects I have 15 chances to get the effect, but I am not stuck with 3 or 4 wheels in my hand if the situation doesn't call for it (which I suspect will be more often than most people think). If I find I need more tutors, Perplex will my first add.

This deck is the scarily close to what I had been brewing with Leovald. Obviously I don't include the more expensive tutors for reasons. +1 :D

I see what you mean about adding more wheels. The deck probably doesn't need them. Regarding spot removal, Slaughter Pact is nice because you can surprise your opponents with it and pay a turn later. Sever the Bloodline is pretty good, but the flashback cost is ridiculously high. Aside from those two and the typical removal spells (Go for the Throat, Tragic Slip, Murder, etc.) the only card that I can think of is Avatar of Woe.

Primusfan42: Slaughter Pact is certainly on my shortlist of potential adds. Thank you for letting me know about it!

My opinion, Snuff Out is better than Slaughter Pact. Hits the same type of creature with the added bonus that it can't be regenerated. Plus, in EDH, 4 life isn't much at all. Compare that drawback to either losing the game or being down 3 mana next turn which you could have used to advance your board state.

Raging_Squiggle: I honestly have never have given Snuff Out a second glance, but I have to agree it is a really good removal spell. I'm suprised it is not used more in more black heavy decks. Ill be adding it to several of my decks. Thank you!
For this particular deck I am worried to include it because I have soo many cards that cost life in the deck and no lifegain besides deathrite shaman. I am taking suicide black to such a level that my worst fear is becoming a boros deck that hits me a few times with some aggressively costed creatures. While that amuses me to no end I will have to do some testing and determine what if any spot removal I will add.

Propaganda, Koskun Falls, Elephant Grass, and Lethal Vapors can all help you against Boros decks or aggro decks if that becomes a recurring problem on top of your self-life loss.

I would just like to say for the record before Leovold was spoiled, I was building this type of deck with Tasigur, and when I saw Leovold I almost sh*t myself...

Also imagine if Leopold was Grixis instead of Sultan...just saying

That would be stupid. I kind of think the reason wotc made him was to shit on grixis storm and force fast combo decks to use more removal. Hes possibly the Force of Will of competitive EDH

im pretty sure if he could have the same abilities in a grixis storm shell he would be the first tier .5 commander

This looks fun. I was thinking of a similar concept (without the combo but with stax) when I first saw this but I was aiming for a more casual theme. Wheel and Deal seems to be an appropriate card in a deck like this.
Lilbrudder says... #1
Haha! Yeah this is not meant to be a fun deck. It is designed to be used only against similarly built decks. The dorks are essential to get ahead of fast combo decks like grixis storm that average turn 3-4 wins. If you were playing Leo in a slower environment then every single one of them could be cut for other other cards
