Hey there!I'm really inspired to a create a similar deck to this it looks really awesome. I've always been a fan of black and devotion is one of my favourite mechanisms. I've been messing around with the deck and I wanted to ask if you had any ideas for a replacement of Phyrexian Obliterator due to its wallet-obliterating price.

Hey Metroid - have you play tested this against a UR delver deck? Any suggestions regarding strategy to handle that?

Bojuka Bog Chalice of the Void Engineered Explosives Ratchet Bomb are good mono black tools vs delver.

If your deck is based on getting out an Obliterator, have you thought of using Fleshwrither?

Urborg in this case will only help your opponent(s) since all your stuff is already black...

you should try throwing in Liliana, Heretical Healer  ^Flip as a 1-of, that functions as a gigantic rod for removal in the event the deck you are playing has a ton of, and also gives the deck a bit of recursion with her -x. (what, you thought my obliterator would stay gone forever?). also a couple of tutors (Beseech the Queen or Dark Petition should fill this slot nicely).

You would taint this list with eldrazi? Cmon man you're better than that....

But if you really had to have some eldrazi in here, BWc would be the way to go.

Just looking at this deck for ideas, and it is actually really similar to my deck Mono-Black WINNING. If anyone is reading this, ideas and advice would really be appreciated, since my deck stalls a lot from turn 3-4 and just isn't aggressive enough. Budget isn't an issue, it's just that I seem to suck at Modern format. Too many card choices... Thanks in advance!

Still one of my favorite archetypes to run. Mono Black Devotion is awesome. Have you tried Gifted Aetherborn?

Griselbrand is better in modern. Though Mono Black Devotion in Standard looks really fun right now. Nothing to go off with though like Gary.
