This deck relies on major life gain and forcing the opponent to discard their hand while your black devotion builds.

1st win condition:Gray Merchant of Asphodel is used to take advantage of your devotion to deal damage and gain life at the same time. It is incredibly easy to kill an opponent with just 2 uses of it's effect in most cases.

Tip:Use Sanguine Bond to double or even triple damage all while adding 2 more devotion for each bond.

Tip 2:Once Gray merchants ability is used up use him as a blocker then simply use Whip of Erebos to whip him back triggering his ability again.

Win condition 2: Use Mogis's Marauder to give all of your creatures intimidate and haste then beat down their life. If you don't make it the first time he can become a sacrificial pawn only to return by whip and become able to unleash a daunting onslaught all over again.

Tip: Whip of Erebos is incredibly useful whip back an Abhorrent Overlord to take advantage of his harpy token ability and still avoid sacrificing a creature every turn since the whip will automatically exile it before your next upkeep even come close to coming.

Tip 2: This tip is also universal for both win conditions. Use Pack Rat with confidence it is not a waste to discard a card for it ability. That token has it's mana cost too meaning it is actually good for 1 black devotion for each pack rat token.
