Looks good and strong. Looks like it has the potential to outrace and overpower a lot of decks.

this is just infuriating. I'm missing 1x Reverent Hunter for the main board, and none of the card shops in town have any. Grrrrrrrrr....

what do you guys think of Rubblebelt Raiders instead of Sylvan Caryatid or Scavenging Ooze for more aggresion?

Sedge Scorpion is strictly worse than Wasteland Viper .

I really like this build. I'm trying to do something similar. Have you considered Arbor Colossus ? It's a 5 drop 6/6 that adds 3 devotion.

Arbor Colossus is currently side-boarded for flyer heavy decks that pollute my meta.

I may end up dropping Sylvan Caryatid for them, won't know 'till after play testing.

Have you considered Bow of Nylea ? It would give you some flyer protection and with Kalonian Hydra the doubling counters the bow would also be useful.

I have, I'm in the process of finding room to put them BACK in. To be honest, I'm not sure what to take out. The deck functions quite well so far against nearly everything I've played against so far. I haven't played red or black devotion yet, or Izzet, which some suggest will be quite a difficult match for me.

It may not be the same as actually facing someone but I have a standard USA control deck you can play test your deck against, be similar to facing izzet.

I'm curious, why did you move Reverent Hunter to the sideboard? It seems that it or Scavenging Ooze would be better than Sylvan Caryatid .

November 30, 2013 2:19 p.m.

at the time, I only had a pair of Reverent Hunter , Mistcutter Hydra seems to be a better card to have in the main because it has haste.

I'm actually considering removing Reverent Hunter for tbh.

as far as Scavenging Ooze goes, I'll probably put them in instead of Reverent Hunter . then side them in to deal with black/red dev.

and Arbor Colossus for Skylasher .to better deal with blue dev. probably.

Rubblebelt Raiders is a great card and adds 3 devotion for Nylea.

they where in here, but after changes, it seems that this deck made a shift from green devotion to green beats. I'm thinking of starting fresh with a G/x green devotion deck where x will probably be red.

I guess the reason the deck shifted is that green devotion and white devotion are either lacking or sucked too much compared to black, blue, or red devotion.

and for a mid-range deck to survive, it needs cards up it's sleeve to deal these "super-aggro" and control decks.

In my opinion, Gruul Charm is a terrible mainboard card. I think it is a strictly sideboard card if you want to run it.

February 21, 2014 4:04 p.m.

I only main-board it because I've had too many good experiences with it to simply leave it in the sideboard. It definitely seems to carry its own weight when I play it. But I do see your point, since its only holding a spot for Mizzium Mortars

What ability of it do you actually get to use? The third one? Because fliers generally don't block unless they're doing poorly, at which point it would be a win-more card. Mizzium Mortars is strictly better, and even Clan Defiance does the same job but better if you ramp up.

The chances of using the second ability are so slim it might as well not be there.

February 21, 2014 4:25 p.m.

the first ability is what I normally use, btw. I basically ignore the second ability because the chances of my opponent playing something like Domestication are slim to none
