Not going to lie, this deck exists for no other purpose than to destroy freindships in casual, and ensure I never have them in FNM. I like to play obscure decks, that when they work cause great discomfort.

The deck centres around Land Destruction, then using hard hitters in the form of Arbor Colossus and Sylvan Primordial to beat them down. Failing that, a wave of Satyr's from Xenagos, the Reveler.

Using mana dorks Elvish Mystic and Sylvan Caryatid, we should ideally be hitting land destruction by turn 3. Priority may vary between dropping more creatures / blockers versus aggro(Ember Swallower or Courser of Kruphix) and destroying lands and happiness verse everyone else, based on how the game is playing.

Courser of Kruphix is in to thin out the land draws, and add Synergy with Chandra, Pyromaster

The deck runs a devotion theme, allowing for Ember Swalloer to destroy as many lands as possible, while still allowing dorks to activate Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx for the devotion mana.

Whims of the Fates is in here because it's hilarious, and I am an ass.

Vs. MBD and U/W Control — March 16, 2014

I played two sets of games (unfortunately not in an official environment, but I'll count it) verse a friend, who has fully built UW Control (minus 2 sphinx's) and a MBD. Both games were a win to the land destruction!

Outlining the games, for UW control: if I am able to keep the control's land drops down to 2 /3 (which I was on games 1 and 3, second went to him) they have difficulty recovering. if they miss a land drop, that's when you take control of the board. Aim to destroy primarily their blue sources, denying them access to double blue spells (includes Jace and Dissolve). In the game I lost, i was overwhelmed by an Elspeth Emblem, and didn't hit the bramblecrush or Mizzium mortars I needed (to clear tokens). Chandra was removed, making her unable to keep Elspeth down. I lost, however he was on a total of two lands.

For MBD: This was definitely the harder game, Nightveil spectre's are irritating. He had two on the board, but that was cleared with a mizzium mortars overload, thanks to devotion and caryatids. Was able to keep him off 5 mana so he couldn't Gary.
