To clarify, I assume you get Worldspine Wurm via the following:

Turn 1:

Forest, Mystic

Turn 2:

Forest, B-T E, B-T E, Another 2-Drop

Turn 3:

Nykthos, Garruk, Garruk's -3, Worldspine Wurm

Yes, and it works best if that other 2 drop is a Voyaging Satyr . Obviously, that is in a perfect situation, being 8 cards so your opening hand and a draw, so I had to think of other ways to have good board presence, ala Scavenging Ooze and Polukranos, World Eater .

I would suggest using Axebane Guardian in here if you like to ramp mana. If you have just a few walls out then things can get pretty silly. And being a wall it has decent toughness to make it a bit safer.

I can't help but feel like I'd prefer to see Kalonian Tusker in the place of Scavenging Ooze , but I can understand your reasoning. Ooze is good, I just prefer him in an older standard format.

Do you think Axebane Guardian would be better than Karametra's Acolyte ? Because I've thought about putting either of those in the 4 Bramblecrush spot (which I will sideboard) but couldn't decided which was better.

The only thing bad about Kalonian Tusker is that I can't play him out of a Burning-Tree Emissary . I think either of them could work well in this deck, but I lean towards Scavenging Ooze just because he is better during different times during the game and adds more than Tusker would, even with Tusker's 2 devotion.

Ah, I did overlook the BTE thing. Well, that makes a lot of sense then. +1, btw. I love me some wurmy wurms.

I would definitely suggest the green fireball Mistcutter Hydra , great way to dump tons of mana!

Considering Polukranos is a Legendary creature, I think that can be arranged.

T3: Activate Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx for 6 , Karametra's Acolyte , mana pool at 9 , Karametra's Acolyte , mana pool at 13 , use Voyaging Satyr on Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx , mana pool at 19, Mistcutter Hydra

Mistcutter x4 witchstalker x4 and ratchet bomb

Oh, and the best I've ever done was a 95/95 Mistcutter Hydra on turn 9.

I could do 2 more Mistcutters, Witchstalker would be good, but I might do a 3 of, and Ratchet Bomb is never a bad idea to have. Thanks for the suggestions!

@golffore297: Witchstalker s are great for mono blue.

Pithing Needle is always good, as well with Ratchet Bomb , Dryad Militant , Plummet , and Ranger's Guile

I got the ideal hand and when i dropped the wurm, my buddy scooped, +1. its terrifying to see a 15/15 let alone on turn 3.

Wow, yea. I'll edit the description. Still though, it's only in the case of an extremely perfect hand since that would be exactly 8 cards. Maybe I will be able to pull it off sometime, but I'm still piecing this together, so I will let you guys know how well it plays when I get to that point.

When I drew a Worldspine Wurm as one of my mythics in a box of RTR, my first magic cards that i have purchased in a few years, I was sure it would be worthless. Thanks for proving me wrong! +1
