Had Ajani's Chosen in the list, but I feel as though I get more value out of the Seraphs because they have flying, are fantastic blockers, and flying defense is traditionally a weakness of mine. The Chosen seem to lend themselves to a more swarmy deck, though in this list they would most likely turn into chump blockers.

Auramancer may be a good addition here to counter Enchant hate.

Dropped Avacyn's Pilgrim for Alpha Authority
Acquired second Archangel of Thune
I like the authority for the additional hexproof and blocking restriction when my creature gets massive. I'm finding I don't really get much use out of the Gladecover Scout if I have any other 3 drop creature in hand, which I generally do. Might replace them with Elvish Mystic or whatever mana dorks Theros will provide.

Oh crap, totally forgot about gift. More evasion and lifelink for my big fat fatties is always good. I think I'll toss that in over Alpha Authority and drop something from the side.

I'm thinking about naya hexproof enchantment deck as well. the gift of orzhova really inspired me alot. +1

Ethereal Armor is one of the best auras out in standard this deck works really well with it +1 here.

Nice deck. I LOVE playing enchantment decks.I saw you wrote that this is to pace with, and beat, aggro decks. For this purpose, I see something sorely missing here, and something you would have SO much fun tossing on the board - Sphere of Safety
Think about it. Aggro runs a lot of small, fast creatures...especially with battalion triggers. - HOW many enchantments you have out on the board?- HOW much mana can they afford to pay for EACH attacking creature they wanna throw at you?
Do the math...it's awesome. From experience (both from suffering from that combo, as well as finally implementing it myself), your deck would dip it's toes further into locking them down, and then you hit hard.
Suggest throwing 2 in there and taking out one each Ajani, Caller of the Pride and Unflinching Courage .

I try to gain life to counter aggro decks and force them to block rather than try to race, though if I were having trouble with a particularly swarmy midrange deck, this might be exactly what I need. It's too expensive to mainboard (this deck wins easily without ever seeing a 4th land), but certainly worth a sideboard slot. Thanks!

Why not try 1-2 Indestructibility ? Sometimes playing it safe is playing it right. You could also consider Rootborn Defenses .
August 6, 2013 1:16 p.m.
Indestructibility is wonderful fun, but high on my curve. When Theros hits and the Standard meta slows down (and I lose Rancor), it might find a place in here.
Angel of Jubilation is good card and has very relevant effect for Standard, but the mana cost and white saturation make it less awesome in my list, and it'll be dropping out of standard soon.

pretttttyyy close to my deck An interesting take on an old deck. my suggestion, based on my experience with it is to cut the Archangel of Thune . it seems fairly good initially but imo i would prefer Gavony Township and use those slots for cheaper creatures such as Loxodon Smiter . the reason i dont run township in my deck is because i am reliant on hitting all 3 colors. i also like Fencing Ace quite a bit. i think he will be making a reappearance in my deck soon.

Soo played this deck tonight at fnm and one it's a blast hard to counter and with all the hate the cards get out of hands fast. Great deck I took second lost to B/W humans went 4-1
August 10, 2013 2:04 a.m.
I might end up sideboarding the Angel, it's still a bomb against midrange decks. Smiter might find a place in here again, but the lack of hexproof certainly makes him a big target.
I'm glad you did well Rhino10, what worked well for you and would you suggest changing anything that didn't work as well?
August 10, 2013 2:07 a.m.
It all worked well I did put in 4 Witchstalker instead of the Sigarda, Host of Herons and I would say Witchstalker did awesome and Seraph of the Sword surprised a lot of people including me. Wouldn't change a thing
August 10, 2013 9:27 a.m.
O I did use Alpha Authority in place of Gift of Orzhova ( shop didn't have any). I did like that if my angle was out I could make it hexproof and even better i could make my fatties only be blocked by one creature which is huge. I am looking for gifts just to try that as well, but if you plan on putting smiter in Alpha Authority may help him
August 10, 2013 10:02 a.m.
I did have both of them in, but dropped them for creatures that already have hexproof and the gifts for more lifelink. I definitely need more bodies to rush the field though, so 4 witchstalkers is certainly something I'll do once I get another one.
Gift did well last night, but maybe not as well as an Alpha Authority might have done. I'll look into maybe swapping them out..

What are you looking to replace Rancor and O-ring with come rotation?
August 11, 2013 11:57 a.m.
Have you consisted Dryad Militant ? It's a strong offensive body that can really screw control and reanimator. I'd probably drop Seraph of the Sword , she's to expensive to be aggressive IMO.
