Also what about Sundering Growth for your sideboard? Seems like a good idea with so many enchants flying around these days.

And I think Gift of Immortality is better than Indestructibility .

Sundering is probably a good idea for the mirror match. Gift of Immo. was a 4 of in here, but then someone pointed out that my heroic creatures will get reset on counters.

Rootborn Defenses added to the side for wipe protection. Those of you who were pushing for Phalanx Leader will be pleased to know that he has replaced 2 of my Indestructibility . I found that I either had better things to cast and the game was over before I needed it, or my creatures were getting murderbored before I could enchant them with it. Either way, more creatures will mean more consistancy, and Phalanx will help me against those swarmy Selesnya decks.

any suggested replacements for soldier of pantheon in mono v. mono? or to make this deck a little more "budget friendly"
October 2, 2013 7:54 a.m.
Against a mono deck, Soldier of the Pantheon is still a good creature with a good front end for 1 mana with no drawback.
As for on a budget, the consistency of the deck really comes from the turn 1 plays. You could shift focus to a more flood oriented build and bump up Phalanx Leader to 4, or you could simply replace SotP with Trained Caracal to really make this a counter-aggro deck. If going the flood route, Boros Elite would be a great card to add as well.

Have you thought about Sphere of Safety in the sideboard?
October 2, 2013 2:16 p.m.
It's been suggested many times. It would top out my curve, and by the time I have enough mana to cast it, my opponent should be dead. I have enough lifegain that I don't care if they swing at me, because I'll always win the race, provided they don't have removal, in which case, Sphere is useless anyways because I won't have enchants on creatures.

Oh leatherface Dryad Militant is also an acceptable replacement for SotP.

thanks for the reply, very good deck btw definitely a +1 gonna try this probably tomorrow for FNM, if I do play (got most of the cards in it anyway). I'm running on 2 SotP and 3 Phalanx Leaders also trying out 2 spears and 1 heliod for now.

No one will let that creature stay out long enough to get that big. With any burn or removal deck I still think you'll have trouble. With only 4 Gods Willing you'll lose a lot of creatures early game to anyone who knows what their doing lol Like I would trade a Shock , Magma Jet , Lightning Strike , Doomblade, Dreadbore , to take out any of your creatures as soon as they resolved. I don't necessarily think putting all your eggs in one basket is the best option with all the removal going on, but I guess its a risk you take just like any other deck.

I'm not hating by the way, I'm trying to give insight for possible future deck match ups, I do think it's a good deck!
October 3, 2013 11:30 a.m.
You make a point, but red removal is where I have the advantage. If they want to kill something, they have to do it FAST. Once I start enchanting something, red removal can't compete with it without dumping lots of cards and mana (which mono red can't spare). Even if they blast a creature or two before I enchant them, I have 11 other 1 drops that can take their place.
Black is a different story, and I usually try to throw out as many creatures as possible and spread the buffs out.

didn't really get to play FNM but I did get to playtest the deck. I played against a usual izzet pyro-guttersnipe-nivmagus deck, and it did very well.
I would say though that the spear should be more than 1 since it really did halt my opponent's attacks which allowed me to swing with most of my creatures when I can. I also played with 22 lands, dropping my creature count to 18, it seemed kinda low though yet I didn't seem to find a lack of creatures in play. Overall, still as awesome as I imagined.

i took this deck to the fnm last night got second place :)

pudgeep I'm glad you had better luck than me. This deck really shines in heavy aggro metas, but unfortunately everyone still loves esper control...

Ever consider Cavalry Pegasus in your sideboard to replace Soldier of the Pantheon if your opponent is running a mono deck?
October 6, 2013 8:13 p.m.
Perfect white weenies standard enchantment deck! btw how did you get your name to have that inted effect around it?
October 6, 2013 8:33 p.m.
kendanc: I still prefer SotP to the Pegasus simply because he's 2 power on turn 1. The flying is good with the amount of humans I run, but I usually rely on Gift or Ajani for the flying finisher.
__wakeup: All you have to do is look up how to give text a glow in HTML, and throw that in the color boxes for your letters.

The more I play this deck the more I like it and the less I put attention to my RDW. I think though the Nykthos is a little unnecessary given that mana is capped at 4. I'm REALLY having fun using this deck.

Cool yeah, I haven't played yet, my cards are getting here mondayish. I was just curious because I've decided to main board Brave the Elements but I see a lot of people running Gods Willing and just wanted to know some of the reasoning behind it. Maybe that scry will make it worth it in the long run. I'll have to start playing to find out though!
