It's cheaper, but a lot more susceptible. I was planning to use the Evil twin for the same mechanic.
When I was running through some of the play testing (granted it's solo) I wasn't really happy with how Havengul Lich or Call to the Grave were playing. I'd really need to test it to get a better feel for it.
I think if I got rid of those, I would look for another "sacrifice" card, possibly with flying. Also if I dropped the Call to the Grave I'd be able to play with non-zombies.

I guess you want to see turn 1, Gravecrawler. turn 2, Skirsdag High Priest. Turn 3, Mortarpod, Gravecrawler, sac Germ pull out a 5/5 Demon.

I'd run Phantasmal Image
rather than Cackling Clones since you could use it to remove the opposing player's legendary as well.
