I feel like, if your strategy is to consistently drop worldspine wurm, you need 4x all combo pieces. Meaning +2 garruk.

You could get a worldspine wurm on turn two with the right hand.

T1 Forest then elvish mystic

T2 Nykthos, 3 burning tree emissary's, drop garruk, then -3 the wurm in

That would require changing my deck a lot and also the perfect hand and first draw, as that takes eight cards. As awesome as that is, it is highly unlikely to happen. Turn three is much more feasible, and turn four us almost guaranteed

Any tips on how to play / sideboard with this deck?

January 28, 2014 12:20 p.m.

Drfrozenfire says... #8

Sure!Make sure to keep a hand with enough land to get into either an unexpected results or ramp. Typically this means 1-3 lands, depending on if you have caryatids and mystics. You will want to make putting trostani out a high priority if you draw her. If you have an unexpected results in hand or draw one, be sure to use any effects on the field such as trostani's populate or garruk abilities before using it, as you may end up drawing one of them. Remember, you don't HAVE to play the card revealed, so if you draw a detention sphere and don't need it, just put it in hand instead. The point of the deck is to just keep the pressure on and punish mis-plays.

With regards to sideboarding, I'll update the description with common sideboarding I use.

Thank you, What do you say is the worst match up for this deck? I think it would be control.

January 28, 2014 2:36 p.m.

Control is no match for this deck. It can only contain for so long, but the lifegain and the voice of resurgence tend to stop it pretty dead. Boardwipes leave me with creatures that they either have to waste a killspell on or die to it.

The hardest matchup for this is mono-red devotion that uses a lot of fast little creatures. For this reason, I added in the detention spheres mainboard. I will find out tonight how much protection this affords me

How would you face vs a black white control that has Merciless Eviction ?

January 28, 2014 3:52 p.m.

Drfrozenfire says... #12

Well, they either have to get rid of my creatures (which is probably what they would do), leaving me a garruk, which starts the process again. It would set me back, but it also would kill anything he has

Elspeth, Sun's Champion seams like another problem vs this deck.

I really like your deck. It's. We'll rounded. I've been play testing against my control deck W/R/B Control - Pain Seer Edition and they've always been close games that could've gone either way.

+1 from me
