Blight Herder is a great card, I don't care what any pundit says, I built this deck to abuse its power level. 7 power, 8 defense, AND 3 mana to ramp with for 5? Sign me the heck up. I realized how great Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver is in this list and that let me turn it more into a more controlling list with better turn one plays than before. I decided to put Relic in the mainboard to ensure Blight Herder activates, but maybe I don't know how to play MTG. The scions make Syncopate, Drowner of Hope and AEtherling a little better, and just let you cast more spells. Sunken Ruins is to help with the double blue and black requirements, Please let me know if you think I should throw out the transmute and go for a more control based shell.
