U/B deck loaded with some of my favorite Dimir cards. The idea is to draw into one of several potential win conditions and control the game with kills/counters while trying to implement the win con. It's a deck that unfolds later in the game by allowing you to scry into the right cards for your match-up. Sacrifices the consistency of most control decks (Esper, Azorius, etc.) for versatility and swagger.
Nightveil Specter is a staple of the deck, providing devotion for Thassa, God of the Sea and Phenax, God of Deception while also pinging in the air for extra draws.
Phenax, God of Deception may not be as exciting as some other gods, but he adds mill as a viable win condition in a addition to becoming a superb blocker if he's active. All creatures in this deck have at least 3 toughness, which makes for some significant "end step" milling.
Thassa, God of the Sea + Consuming Aberration has always been a favorite combo of mine. Thassa also really helps with drawing into the cards I need to maintain control of the game, and the big guy really gets along with the new god as well (potential for some game-ending mills just from those two).
Lazav, Dimir Mastermind is in my opinion the most underrated guildleader. At his worst, he adds 4 devotion to Phenax, God of Deception that's a bitch to remove. At his best, he becomes your opponent's biggest threat and smacks them in the face with it.
Omenspeaker is always good for a scry, to chump, and to add that one extra devotion that the Gods tend to need.
Dimir Charm may be a relatively weak removal spell, but it can also help me make the most of Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver, Lazav, Dimir Mastermind, and Nightveil Specter.
Rapid Hybridization I like because unlike other cheap removal, it doesn't only work on specific creatures. The 3/3 frog lizard can be a problem, however, especially since this is my cheapest removal spell. I'm open to suggestions.
Devour Flesh + Far / Away get around a lot of anti-removal, which is always useful.
Hero's Downfall because duh.
Psychic Strike makes going up against control a little easier, and I like the mill that comes with it. I may want to mainboard some more counter spells as well. Again, I'm open to suggestions.
Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver can win games if you play your cards right. He may have the least amount of synergy here, but I love him so very much.
