I've never played much modern. It's intimidating. But I made a bomb-ass dimir control deck in standard, Consuming Aberration and Thief of Sanity are bae, and Counterspell is modern-legal now. So I'm making this shit happen.

Hard counter/removal control, looking for more non-creature removal options (prolly grabbing Vraska's Contempt). Wins via attrition, playing their deck with Thief of Sanity with Command the Dreadhorde finisher. Consuming Aberration for some muscle and an alternate win con, especially against creature-light decks. Rite of Consumption to leverage a swole Aberration into an easy kill, and to top off life for bigger Commands in a pinch. Very open to suggestions.

Lemme know if there are any strictly betters I'm missing (that don't cost twenty times as much. Looking at you, Thoughtseize), my mental library is a little on the thin side so I'm sure there's obvious options I'm missing.
