Just one thing Flaying Tendrils really brokes your game, cuz if the creature would die, it's exiled, so Zulaport Cutthroat effect won't trigger, at least i understand it this way, am i correct?
Nice deck, i have everything but the lilianas :c, hope to you make it very far

Creatures die first then become exiled since it's a negative counter.:)

Hey nice deck it helped me improve my Gixis aggro deck. :)

bestmtgplayer1223 actually, this is the best deck to test out your control deck since this deck doesn't run out of creatures. Thanks for the upvote.=)

Your welcome. I tested it out as a mirror Match of a sort.

I literally run the same type of deck except I run 4x Relentless Dead and not 4x Scrapheap Scrounger . Why would Scrapheap Scrounger be better? I usually use Relentless Dead put it back in my hand and pay 1 to bring back Cryptbreaker to crew the Smuggler's Copter. "Always have zombies on the field after a board wipe"

Love the deck. I run a very similar deck but I run contingency plan instead of negate. I moved negate to the side board. What are your thoughts on contingency plan in this deck?
December 4, 2016 1:55 p.m.
Zomtar. I use scrounger because i can recur it after my opponent's turn ready to attack next turn for 3 damage. Yes relentless dead can do that, but once milled by Mindwrack Demon, i cant put him back on the battlefield. Also, if i have 1 Cryptbreaker and 7 mana, o can discard pariah and return scrounger and have her flip. Yes it can be done by Haunted Dead but i want other options as well. Another thing is, if liliana tlh uses 1st ability on relentless dead, it cant crew a vehicle.
December 4, 2016 6:23 p.m.
Crusaderjb. I like how Contingency Plan works. But it wont give you another card in your hand. Yes it smoothens the draw but i like to counter spells like Aetherworks Marvel, Gideon, Ally of Zendikar and Always Watching . Not to mention all vehicles.:). Soooo... i choose counters over contingency instead.
December 4, 2016 6:26 p.m.
I've played Relentless Deads countless of times. To be honest, if only i have upgraded my account, you can see my revision that the card is in and out of my deck. I've seen it's good side and it's bad side. I can say that it is a great card. But against Liliana and control decks, i don't think it's worth using right now. Creatures = speed, spells = defense. That's my game logic when it comes to aggro.
December 4, 2016 8:11 p.m.
Crusaderjb and also, there's no deck right now that negate is not useful. Even in RB aggro/zombie (negate Cathartic Reunion) and RG energy (negate Blossoming Defense) decks this can be used as a win card.

Flaying Tendrils does ruin the plan. The creatures don't die, then exile. Tendrils replaces the "die" part with exile. Same with kalitas. So Zulaport Cutthroat and Relentless Dead don't do their thing
December 4, 2016 11:07 p.m.
happygilmore511 if you're looking at my update notes, you can see that it is inconsistent with my main and sideboard. Yes, I've realized and asked a judge about it. It's also the reason why i put 2 mainboard negate in this deck.:)

i like the idea of recursion in the deck but it's pretty inconsistent I've play-tested it a few time and the lack of consistent draws really kills it for me. Would you not rather play 3 Liliana, the Last Hope and 3 Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet also i would definitely play 3 copies of Grasp of Darkness main board also you might want to consider playing two copies of Negate main board since there are a ton of planeswalkers in the meta and Gideon, Ally of Zendikar is a major threat and hope to deal with opposing lili's . them's my two cents hope it was constructive enough fer ya.. :)

Thanks for the comment Ze_Geuse81
Actually, i'd like to play a 3rd copy of Liliana, the Last Hope and a copy of Corpse Churn but it will look exactly like the deck that won $1k in a competitive tournament in our country (lol) or maybe, 2 Corpse Churns. But definitely not a 3rd Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet. I honestly played a lot of decks already and i don't think consistency is an issue. You just have to fill in your graveyard with tools. Regarding 3rd Grasp of Darkness, i would like to add it up but i currently don't have the space in my deck to fit it in. Also, i got 8 removals in this deck already. Sinister Concoction seems to do it's job well against Brisela, Voice of Nightmares and big threats that grasp can't deal with.

I'd love to but he's got a very high casting cost. I'd like to finish the game early on if possible.

Love the deck +1 from me, I am running U/B Zombies similar build. I went with Archfiend of Ifnir to get extra value out of the discards. Also removed 4x Dread Wanderer and in place 3x Tattered Mummy and 3x Miasmic Mummy. I don't have any Liliana, the Last Hope
The meta where I play has moved mainly to Marvel, Mardu, Tokens, R/W Humans, B/G Delirium, and a couple MB Zombies. Archfiend of Ifnir helps remove those indestructible gods, and when a vehicle is crewed, Cryptbreaker to create a zombie and add -1 / -1 counter to it.
Nice deck

I like how your meta is "mainly" 6 different decks
June 7, 2017 10:20 p.m.
happygilmore511 Those are just the ones that are the most prominent with multiple variations being played of each (also ones I seem to always have to go against) . We also have decks like a recent Vampire tribal that was played, which gave other decks a descent match-up. Oh yes forgot about the U/R control (he ate my snakes in a hurry).
I'm still tweaking the zombie deck I am running.
June 8, 2017 8:11 a.m.
I do like the idea of ifnir to be honest. But i prefer Voldaren Pariah Flip since i can play her at instant speed. I again tweaked the deck LOL. Adding Wharf Infiltrator to the mix. Maybe this will be better with the ifnir build.

clark1424You may want to look at running a Dispossess or two (did not see in main board or sideboard list). This has been very good for me against Marvel to stop it before it gets going. Also when running against control decks that use Torrential Gearhulk. I run two in the sideboard.
Voldaren Pariah Flip is a nice card, wish I had more of. Never / Return in place of Ruinous Path for the aftermath.
June 9, 2017 10:29 a.m.
I don't have never to return. Well, i think Ruinous Path kinda just do the same job. The awaken is much powerful quite frankly.
Against control, i really don't need Dispossess since i can beat them (yep even with a set of Sweltering Suns) with recursion. Been fighting and winning 80% of the time against UR control.
This was esper zombie deck but i find it difficult to deal with marvel decks without counter spells. Negate and Ceremonious Rejection would do the job for me against marvels. Without marvel itself, Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger is pretty much a dead card since they're pretty much low in land count.

I also tried putting Sanitarium Skeleton back then. It is great with Haunted Dead and Wharf Infiltrator. But since now i'm using copter, there's no need for me to use it anymore.
