It works pretty well, the only deck i lost to was a frites deck, and thats because i didnt draw the Slaughter Games the 3rd game to call Angel of Serenity . So, depending on the threat at my store, i might include another Deathrite Shaman as well as Rakdos Charm s in my sideboard.
I'm seeing very little reasoning for throwing in Mizzium Mortars and Pillar of Flame . The meta is changing, and a lot of the aggro decks are vanishing. Midrange decks are easily managed with this deck, as my midrange is much more powerful.

I've waned on my use of Mizzium Mortars . It is either too slow for aggro or not big enough for some fatty I want to kill. Bonfire of the Damned has been more successful for me personally. I still stock Pillar of Flame in SB at best. Deathrite Shaman has been awesome for me in game one verse aggro as well as being lights out for frights. I'm debating Rakdos Charm in SB as well for that matchup.

I didnt get my Deathrite Shaman s out in that matchup because i only own 2 at the moment. I'll have to invest in more, because that frites decks runs little to no removal, and seems like a perfect counter.
Rakdos Charm is another one of those simple cards that can deal with burning against aggro, clearing out a GY for frites (at the exact right moment), and even blowing up a card:Runechanter's Pike

How is Sign in Blood working for you, and have you considered Underworld Connections instead? I like the connections more, since it's repeatable and available at the end of their turn.

I have considered Underworld Connections . It is a very good card, and me playing Sign in Blood is just a personal preference, and in no way suggesting it is better. It all just comes down to playstyle and comfort level. I don't like the fact that i have to keep a mana open to use the enchantment, and that it can be targeted and destroyed.

So the Wednesday night magic was pretty damn fun. With recent changes, i added more to the sideboard to deal with frites, and 3 of the 4 games i played was, of course, against frites. Boy i felt smart. Deathrite Shaman , Slaughter Games , and Rakdos Charm were the superstars. I think i actually did about 26 damage (life lose) with the Deathrite Shaman one game. Was pretty amusing, and frite-decks dont really run removal. So all my bombs were just marinating on the battlefield, using up every single glamorous ability that they had to offer.
Chandra, the Firebrand copied a Slaughter Games , naming Angel of Serenity and Unburial Rites on turn 4. (1-land, 2-land/farseek, 3-chandra, 4-copy slaughtergames) And proceeded to lol my way to victory all 3 games.
Rakdos Charm saved my ass when my opponent managed to cast an Angel of Serenity , and targeted another Angel of Serenity , a Thragtusk , and a Thragtusk . Ability on stack, oops, graveyard is gone.
The first game of the night was against an american control deck that was stuck at 3 mana with no Dissipate , and Chandra, the Firebrand copied a card:Rakdos's Return and melted his face and hand for 6 total... for game 1 and game 2, and then he just drooled until my Huntmaster of the Fells Flip chewed on his nuts.

Ah, so this is why you took offense to my other comments.

Actually, just fine, the mana base for the deck is quite easy to manage, especially with both rakdos and golgari lands available. I don't know if its 'correct' in this kind of deck, but i prefer it over a potential enchantment hate card. So i may not get more cards over time, but i get the two right away. People usually don't counter it, so i don't have to fear that.

Yeah, I primarily use Jace, Architect of Thought for card draw but if you're not running Underworld Connections then it seems like the next best thing.

Just a thought as I recently was playing Jund and absolutely hate any form of control, Dreg Mangler might be a welcome edition here. It does great, especially since it's 3 on turn 3 for 3.
