Dismantle the Surge Node (23$ Budget Combo Deck)

Modern Artifact Budget Burn Ramp

DeinRichter

This is just a fun (and monetarily cheap) deck idea, probably not very competitive, but any feedback is nevertheless appreciated. Heres what youre trying to do:

The centrepieces of the deck are Astral Cornucopia and Everflowing Chalice, they are usually played for free and then provided with charge counters, or played using an already charged Astral Cornucopia / Everflowing Chalice.

You have multiple ways of supplying Charge counters to your Astral Cornucopia / Everflowing Chalice. These are Coretapper, Energy Chamber and Surge Node , or if possible using Dismantle to redeploy the counters on Surge Node

Another key Piece, so to speak, is Voltaic Key. Its simple ability becoming extremely powerful when you have an Astral Cornucopia with anywhere from five to ten Counters on it.

Two Filigree Sages are in the deck because they allow us to get infinite mana, provided our curnocopia/chalice are producing four mana, which is not terribly difficult

We then dump all of our mana into x of one of the damage dealing spells ( Banefire, Invoke the Firemind ) in the deck and kill our opponent.

"What are the chances of all that falling into place!?" I hear you cry. You raise a very valid Point. It is usually not that hard to get the Astral Cornucopia / Everflowing Chalice working. At that point there a few possibilities. We have/draw a voltaic key and one or two damage dealing spells, or we have/draw Invoke the Firemind or Mind Spring and dump our mana into them in order to find what we need. When dumping mana into draw spells it advisable to leave open at least two mana, so that if you draw a Voltaic Key you can play it and untap your mana Producer, allowing you to cast a lot more stuff on that turn.

Another card which I added recently also helps with consistency. This is Tezzeret's Gambit, which we can cast quite early, thanks to phyrexian mana, to draw two cards and proliferate. The proliferate puts even more counters on our mana artifacts, which is always appreciated.

Buried Ruin is another recent addition, its purpose is to bring back coretappers, because why not.

Everything being said, it is still not the most reliable of decks and any suggestions to remedy this are appreciated.

Updates Add

Some new stuff has ben added, some old stuff has been removed. The main changes are:

A slight decrease in X draw spells to accomodate the addition of Tezzeret's Gambit.

Dismantle has been toned down to two copies, as it is incredibly situational.

Filigree Sages have been added as a way of going infinite

Buried Ruin has been added because its cheap and does something usefull.
