Murderous Redcap is illegal it is a hybrid card and because it has red in it and your commander has to have red in it since it does not you cant use it. maybe use Kaervek the Merciless or you can switch to Mikaeus, the Unhallowed if you do end up running red though Warstorm Surge and Where Ancients Tread are real fun.

actually Sheoldred, Whispering One i think would be best for getting into your graveyard

Ah yes, well spotted re Murderous Redcap. I threw that in the other day without looking close enough. Thanks, golgariizzet.

I started building a Mikaeus, the Unhallowed deck but in the end decided I didn't want to go that far down the combo build track. Every now and then I think about swapping in Sheoldred, Whispering One however overall I think I might prefer the instant speed and 'repeatableness' of Chainer, Dementia Master (plus the lower mana cost can be nice).

Hey! Thanks for reviewing my Sheoldred sacrifice deck; I took some of the cards you mentioned in consideration and I came to see what you've been brewing with Chainer.

I do enjoy what he does which Sheoldred can't, although I feel Chainer is geared more towards a reanimator/mill deck, which is something Sheoldred only does half-way, and not quite the theme I went for with my deck, but still included in the 99 as a supplement to her strategy.

I've plenty of love for your deck, though. If you stick to Chainer's theme, I feel Geth, Lord of the Vault is a great card for your 99.

Given my table is control-heavy, I've decided to throw in Mindslicer. It's a ridiculous card that if resolved early enough, or let's say, transfigured into with a Fleshwrither (which could be a good card if you give it good targets like let's say, Phyrexian Obliterator), could give you an edge; I wouldn't mind dropping the table's hands when Chainer can pick up the juicy high drop scraps afterwards while others weep. (That's the spirit of , really!)

Oh, and Braids, Cabal Minion is banned in commander, sorry to tell ya. If your table is fine with playing her, that's cool, but otherwise be wary of that.

Thanks for the comments, DeeLight. Yeah the Braids, Cabal Minion in the 99 ban was dumb (supposed to only be banned as a general) so we just ignore it. That been said, the stax element in this deck never seems to go anywhere and I think I may take her and Smokestack out for something else. I like the Geth, Lord of the Vault suggestion. I've been looking for more ways to disrupt Daretti, Scrap Savant's graveyard of artifacts and Geth, Lord of the Vault could prove useful.

I think you should add a Gilded Lotus as a mana rock, it gives you 1 extra activation for Chainer. =)

Thanks for the suggestion mlequesne, I'll keep it in mind as a possible replacement for Thran Dynamo if I start running into a colorless/black mana imbalance
