ROUND 1: Cruel Control (2-1) Game 1: I lose the die roll so he's on the play. Nothing really happened this game, he had a few Snapcaster Mage and Lightning Bolt, but Arbiter, Thalia, and Ghost Quarters win me the game.

Sideboard: IN - 1 Crucible of Worlds, 2 Rest in Peace OUT - 2 Serra Avenger, 1 Mirran Crusader

Game 2: I keep a great hand of 2 lands, a vial, and creatures. Draw into a second vial which was great. Lost to Kolaghan's Command, snap Kommand on my vials and making me discard and a Blood Moon. Concede after the first Cruel Ultimatum to have time for game three.

Game 3: Have 3 lands (one of which was ghost quarter), Leonin Arbiter, and Crucible of Worlds. He didn't fetch a red source early and I destroyed all of his lands.

Record: 1-0

ROUND 2: Melira Combo (2-1) Game 1: I'm on the play with a decent hand. I do all the normal things and eventually the board state is something like me with Brimaz, Crusader, Leonin Arbiter, with him having 3 lands, Voice of Resurgence, Kitchen Finks, and Melira, Sylvok Outcast. In my hand is Aven Mindcensor and Mirran Crusder. Last turn I pathed his Viscera Seer in response to him playing Melira and he sacced it to scry and left it on top. I made a stupid play and casted the Crusader which would give me lethal next turn, but I should have held up the Mindcensor because once I passed the turn, he drew Chord of Calling and used it for Viscera Seer.

SIDEBOARD: IN - 2 Rest in Peace, 1 Fiend Hunter OUT - 2 Brimaz, 1 Eldrazi Displacer

Games 2 and 3 I land turn 2 Rest in Peace. Game 2 he has no answers and Game 3 I had Spellskite for his Abrupt Decay.

Record: 2-0

ROUND 3: UB Mill (0-2) This round was against a close friend so it sucked that we had to play each other so early on (fortunately we both made top 8 so it didn't really matter). Game 1: I'm on the draw and am able to get him down to 2 before he mills me out, if I had been on the play I would have won the game.

SIDEBOARD: IN 2 Rest in Peace, 1 Ratchet Bomb, 1 Engineered Explosives His list had Crabs, Scribes, and Phantasms, so I was scared of getting blown out by them and thankfully they are all 1 CMC

Game 2: Nothing special, lost to Crypt Incursion gaining him 30 life.

Record: 2-1

ROUND 4: Jeskai Kiki (2-1) Game 1: Get Arbiter and Ghost Quarter out quickly while being on the draw. All I saw game 1 was a lightning bolt and a counter spell with UWR colored lands. Last week he was playing Thopter Sword combo so I assumed incorrectly he was on that deck again.

SIDEBOARD: IN - 2 Rest in Peace, 2 Stony Silence, 1 Ratchet Bomb, 1 Engineered Explosives, 1 Crucible of Worlds OUT - 2 Brimaz, 2 Mirran Crusader, 2 Flickerwisp, 1 Path to Exile

Game 2: Get destroyed by Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and Restoration Angel while having Stony Silence and Rest in Peace in play...

SIDEBOARD: IN - 1 Path to Exile, 1 Fiend Hunter, 2 Flivkerwisp 2 Celestial Purge OUT - 2 Stony Silence, 2 Rest in Peace, 1 Ratchet Bomb, 1 Engineered Explosive

Game 3: Thalia with Spellskite and Eldrazi Displacer win me the game. Go turn 2 Spellskite into Thalia and Displacer. He tries to bolt Thalia, I redirect to Skite, then he tries to Lightning Helix it, but I flicker it with Displacer. Next turn he flashes in Resto to try and block, but I flicker that too and win the game.

Record: 3-1

ROUND 5: Infect (0-0-3 ID into top 8)

I end up getting 5th seed.

QUARTER FINALS: BW Elrazi (2-0) This game is against another close friend , but with the small turnout and a lot of friends there it was bound to happen. Game 1: I'm on the draw and he keeps a land light hand with 2 Blade Splicer. I draw 3 Eldrazi Displacers which remove all the tokens and eventually win me the game.

SIDEBOARD: IN - 1 Fiend Hunter, 1 Crucible of Worlds OUT - 1 Dryad Militant, 1 Thalia

Game 2: I have a plains, a Vial, and 2 Ghost Quarters. The only thing that could make the hand better is a Leonin Arbiter. He plays one on turn 2 and I quickly lock him out of the game.

I never saw Reality Smasher until I already had a Displacer in play which is probably one of the main reasons I won.

SEMI FINALS: U Tron (2-1) Game 1: I'm on the play and go turn 2 Arbiter after his turn 1 play of Expedition Map and Ghost Quarter, Tectonic Edge him out of the game.

SIDEBOARD: IN - 2 Rest in Peace, 2 Stony Silence, 1 Crucible of Worlds OUT - 2 Mirran Crusader, 2 Brimaz, 1 Dryad Militant

Game 2: I lose pretty quickly to Batterskull after using my path on his Wurmcoil Engine. One thing we noticed after the round was over was that he played and used a Jester's Cap on me while he only had one mana left over and I had a Leonin Arbiter in play. This was before he had either Batterskull of Wurmcoil in play. I had a Crucible of Worlds on top which would have won me the game, but it got exiled (obviously).

Game 3: Lose very fast to Wurmcoil.

Right after game 3 he realized what had happened in game 2 and he conceded the round to me. He was also not going to the event so he didn't need the byes, he just wanted more Planeswalker Points.

FINALS: Infect (2-1) This was the guy that I ID'd with to make top 8. Game 1: He's on the play and turn threes me with Blighted Agent, Might of Old Krosa, Become Immense.

SIDEBOARD: IN - 2 Sunlance, 1 Crucible of Worlds, 1 Fiend Hunter, 1 Eidolon of Rhetoric.

Game 2: I Sunlace his turn 1 Glistener Elf and he gets me down to 7 with Noble Hierarch before I finish the game.

Game 3: I mull to 5 and keep a hand of Battlefield Forge, Sunlance, Crucible of Worlds, Eidolon of Rhetoric, and Leonin Arbiter. My scry to the top is Ghost Quarter. He goes turn 1 Gitaxian Probe so he knows I'm light on lands and he plays Hierarch and I remove it with Sunlance. Turn 2 he plays Blighted agent. I draw a third land and play my Arbiter and pass the turn. It looks like he has nothing really at this point because he just swings for 1, plays 2 Glistener Elves and passes the turn with only 2 lands in play. I draw Eldrazi Displacer and play that. He swings into me after using Rancor on Blighted Agent. I block the two elves and he has no pumps to save them. I get Crucible and Eidolon into play soon after and destroy all of his lands and flicker the Blighted Agent every turn. Towards the end of the game I make another mistake and decide to play Flickerwisp targeting my Displacer to remove the 2 -1/-1 counters on it to have lethal next turn instead of three turns away. Thankfully he made a mistake as well, I'm at 4 poison counters with him having agent in play and he plays rancor, swings, and tries to use Become Immense, but I still have Eidolon in play so he can't cast it and I win the game.
