For sideboard against combo, try Surgical Extraction and more hand disruption like Thoughtseize , Duress , Inquisition of Kozilek or Despise , depending on what your meta's like. Pitch their main combo piece on turn 1, then exile all of them straight away. Against Melira Pod or Kiki Pod, Torpor Orb could be useful to stop the ETB triggers that those decks revolve around.

You could try some land destruction like Tectonic Edge , Fulminator Mage or Ghost Quarter in sideboard for Scapeshift and Tron.

Haha yeah, it's only missing the Clique's and Goyf's, but they're coming soon. And thanks, BUG is so much fun

Wow, looks pretty solid. I dont see the purpose of having kitchen finks in the SB though. Just for the extra bit of lifegain?
November 29, 2013 10:13 a.m.
Exactly. Against RDW or any aggro decks the life gain is pretty significant, and he is an amazing chump blocker

First of all, if you put ~$2,000, your deck better by competitive, or there is a serious problem. Go out there into a tournament and rip face!

NOPE NOPE NOPE: Thoughtseize a card to the graveyard and immediately Deathrite Shaman it away and win in that game.
TWO'S COMPANY, THREE'S A CROWD: Win while having only a Snapcaster Mage , a Tarmogoyf , a Dark Confidant , and lands on the battlefield.
MIRROR MIRROR ON THE WALL: Complete two in the same game: Thoughtseize a Thoughtseize ; Vendilion Clique a Vendilion Clique ; Mana Leak a Mana Leak ; Remand a Remand ; Deathrite Shaman a Deathrite Shaman ; Liliana of the Veil a Liliana of the Veil (either the first ability or the last ability.)
REAL ESTATE INVESTOR: Win while not controlling any non-land permanents.

Always liked this deck, but in addition to the MB blue splash, I really like how u utilized the splash on the sideboard.

Achievement:
Magic Treehouse: Deal 20 points of damage in a single game with only Treetop Village .

Thanks APPLE01DOJ. And yeah the blue sideboard cards are great. I had a uw tron player scoop after I spreading seas his two urza's towers and had a Tec edge out, and a gifts player lose because I kept him off double black keeping his liliana from hitting the field.

Liliana of the Veil is not a repeatable Mind Peel . Mind Peel is a repeatable Mind Peel .

I get a little giddy whenever I see this deck in the queue... so fun to play test against Jund. They are near equal against each other.
January 24, 2014 1:35 p.m.
Haha thank you, means a lot to hear that. Jund was the original plan, but then BBE got banned so blue looked a little better than red to me.

Hey, Brett05, this is the original poster of You know those achievements you can unlock on video games?
I just wanted to give you a friendly reminder that I still haven't gotten any achievements from you on my decks The Price Is Right, These Cards Aura Some, Smokin' Mirrors, and A Judge's Nightmare.

Would there be a place for Inquisition of Kozilek or Spell Snare in here? I know that you have Thoughtseize , but when against aggro, inquisition will probably be better for you. Spell Snare (as you know looking at your deck) gets rid of a lot of cards for good for only one mana. the only thing that looks sub optimal for the deck is Disfigure but i know that card is really good.

I love this! It has enough control to piss people off and enough creatures to make the opponents defensive.
I am going to the GP in Minneapolis in may and would like ideas on my modern mono black :) I only have one Griselbrand atm and none of the sorins listed. Everything else I have.

WHEN THE JUDGE IS A HOTTIE: Use two Liliana of the Veil abilities in one turn.
February 9, 2014 4:49 p.m.
I feel like you are missing out by not running Cryptic Command it is such an amazing card and if you spread the mana base a little more towards blue then you could really utilize it, i use it in my BUG control build and it works beautifully.

jeez how long did it take you to collect all those foils?

I understand that, but with this deck I feel that ooze works better with the other cards. Sure goyf is fantastic, but all he really does is damage. Ooze is removal for dredge and living end, and life gain against everything else. That's the way I see it
