Thanks! I never would've figured those two would make an infinite loop. I'll definitely consider it.

@Nerrzull, is it bread? :o

Are there 9 people in the Martin family?

Yes there are only 9 people, and your welcome.

klone13: There are 6 daughters, and all of the daughters have 1 brother (the brother is shared, there isn't 1 individual brother for each individual daughter). So 6 daughters + 1 brother + 2 parents = 9 family members. Either way that's a lot of mouths to feed.

Really cool deck :)

Any suggestions on how to run esper effeciently if your playgroup doesent allow for infinite combos? :)

Thanks Winther!

An Esper deck without infinite combos? I'd go with an artifact flicker/ETB synergy type strategy with Sharuum the Hegemon or Sydri, Galvanic Genius! It can be pretty strong when you start abusing cards like Sphinx Summoner, Myr Battlesphere, Filigree Angel, and Duplicant with constant flicker abilities from stuff like Conjurer's Closet, Venser, the Sojourner and the mighty Sharuum the Hegemon herself. Beacon of Unrest along with Open the Vaults and Roar of Reclamation are also incredible if you can fill your graveyard with powerful artifacts.

Cool! Diden't expect a reply this fast :)

Been messing around with something akin to what you're saying. The list of cards I want to include is just getting out of hand, unfortunately. If you've got the time I'd really appriciate a look at Artifact Esper EDH

Oh, and for your riddle

"I have roots that nobody sees, I'm taller than any trees, up and up I go, but I never grow? What am I?"

Another one:

Every day I exit the house, though I'm always in it! What am I?

An excellent alternative for the mill combo triggered by Bitter Ordeal is to use Phyrexian Metamorph alongside Disciple of the Vault (When an artifact enters your graveyard from anywhere, you may choose to have a target player take 1 damage). It's the same principle of doing theoretically infinite damage to a player, except the death state comes from a creature, not a spell. Since Disciple of the Vault is the part of this combination that creates the chain reaction, it's not a spell but a spell-like ability; many people do not have ways of dealing with this threat or do not even realize that the Disciple is what is causing the damage.

@Nerrzull - is it a turtle? I love turtles.

@TimDepp - Thanks for the suggestion, man. I've actually had Disciple of the Vault for a while before I took it out. It is a strong potential combo piece in a Sharuum deck, and with my experience with playing Sharuum, people who recognize and have experience playing with/against the sphinx will recognize the disciple as a major threat and therefore prioritizing it almost immediately when it comes out. In my opinion, it is the most vulnerable piece of the combo since creature removal is easy to have access too. I've since replaced it with another spell to make the deck a little more fluid, but I still value the disciple greatly for this deck. I might put it back in soon depending on how the deck performs.

How has Sun Titan been for you? I've been thinking about taking it out of my list.

Sun Titan has been wonderful so far. Works especially well with all the trinkets and fetchlands.

Have you considdered doing something with Gonti's Aether Heart? Easy way to get an infinite energy counters going which surely can be translated into an instant win? :)

Andar says... #25

I haven't considered that; it looks like pretty neat interaction. I think it might be a slow card against a fast paced meta, but definitely a sweet card to consider.
