Yeah, Vesuva is way too expensive.

Alright, got it. Still would be much better than Thespian's Stage, however, I thought it would be.

Had to upvote for the archer love.

I don't know much about legacy, but perhaps if you want to be mean you could put in 1/2 copies of Dark Depths as I see you have thespians stage. Legit could have a 20/20 out turn two

Thanks for the +1, JimmyInferno, but this is a budget deck and Dark Depths is not even close to being an appropriate price.

Maybe an Eldrazi Conscription? Or some Not of This World for some removal if you're worried about what to spend mana on? Coat of Arms for Myrs?

Lame_Duck says... #9

It's not super often that I have a creature with 7 or more power, so Not of This World is going to be a 7 mana conditional counter, which is not exactly great. Coat of Arms is incredibly dangerous in Tribal Wars; it can certainly be very powerful, but in general it's just overkill in games where you're already ahead and completely uncastable in game where you're behind.

Eldrazi Conscription is a very interesting idea. I think 8 mana is probably a bit much for something that requires a creature on board to do anything and is vulnerable to spot removal, but it definitely seems worth testing.

Vedalken Engineer is good, and a few Myr Superions should be added, I think. Superion has synergy with both the mana dork myr and prototype portal, since it only costs 2.

Lame_Duck says... #11

Thanks for the suggestions but Vedalken Engineer would require me to add some Islands to the deck, which I don't really want to do, and Myr Superion is a card that I use to have in the deck but removed because it's actually way worse and clunkier than it looks like it would be. I typically can't cast it until turn 4 and a 5/6 on turn 4 is just not that great and while it is pretty good imprinted on a Prototype Portal, it's still usually worse than any of the other good targets in the deck.

With this many myr, have you considered Coat of Arms?

December 30, 2016 12:21 p.m.

Lame_Duck says... #13

Coat of Arms is way too risky in a tribal format; I'd be just as likely to buff the opponent's creatures more than my own.

sweeeeeeeeet deck! never heard of tribal wars before, but i love the idea!

check out my myr deck: myr: swarming for combos (option for modern) for ideas!

you shuld consider 4X Altar of the Brood, which is insane in tokens (talking about battlespheres...), and maybe some Tinkers.

as i said, go check ny deck for ideas, because it's very budget (~40$) and fun to play. hope I helped!

also, find yourself Dark Depths if you're running Thespian's Stage...

good luck!

Lame_Duck says... #16

Thanks for the suggestions, franjimen421 but Tinker is banned in Legacy, Dark Depths is way too expensive and Altar of the Brood is just too inconsistent; if it doesn't win the game, it effectively doesn't do anything and the times when it's likely to win the game are when I'm already going infinite with Myr Matrix, Myr Turbine or Prototype Portal and am unlikely to need it as a win-condition.

Maybe you use all the "colored mana" myrs to flavor, but what do you think of Plague Myr? As the color of mana does not matter, it is a fine blocker because of infect in a pinch

February 24, 2017 4:59 p.m.

Lame_Duck says... #18

Yeah, the coloured mana doesn't matter but the inability to do actual damage to the opponent might. You could be right that a slightly better blocker is more important than a slightly better attacker though. It's very difficult to tell when the benefits are so marginal in either direction. Thanks for the suggestion, lil_cheez.

Lame_Duck Don't mention it! I use it in a deck of mine to ramp to dragons. So it never attacks. Some food for though, tho

Viridian Longbow makes a decent 1-3 of in a myr deck, recomend adding Plague Myr if you go that route

August 6, 2017 10:18 p.m.

Opifex says... #21

Because infinite mana, is also infinite tap with myr
