I was looking for a deck that makes good use of equipments and creatures so I can play against some people at work. Also, I wanted to explore the potential of equips attached to creatures with double strike. Finally, I wanted to make a theme deck. This deck is the result so far.
The main idea is to drop those double strikers fast and hit hard. There's some blue for control and to garantee some unblockable hits.
Some good combinations are:
(1) Kor Duelist or
Auriok Edgewright
equipped with
Sword of Body and Mind
: Since it mills 20 cards and puts 2 green wolves into play.
(2) Kor Duelist or
Auriok Edgewright
equipped with Umezawa's Jitte: Placing 4 charge counters instead of 2. Also, those 4 counters can be used to get rid of those incovenient 4/4 or to pump +8/+8 and grant a 16 damage on the opponent.
(3) Kor Duelist equipped with
Bonesplitter
: Turn 1 - Kor Duelist. Turn 2 - Bonesplitter attached to Kor Duelist and hitting with a 3/1 double strike!
I placed some spells to protect and attack.
Emerge Unscathed
is mainly for the protection of my strategy although it can be used grant an unblockable hit. Shadow Rift also used for a direct hit.
For late game I placed Sun Titan as it allows me to recover some creatures/equipments that were destroyed.
