Dorotheus thanks for the input! I did consider Tormenting Voice but, due to the cost to cards discarded it seemed a little underpowered (a 1cmc red creature that draws a card then allows you to discard a card would be a good fit). I also considered Bloodghast but, didn't realy want to add nonbasic lands to this deck with all the Blood Moons floating around. I also agree, Chandra, Torch of Defiance may seem like an odd fit into this deck but, she can work well (the possible every turn card draw and extra mana abilities work great in this deck and to top it off, on a curve +1 chandra into a Demigod of Revenge might not be so bad on turn 5 if a land was played each turn, Vengevine is the one this deck would really like to avoid Chandra +1 into). If I may ask, does Flamewake Phoenix graveyard return ability trigger Vengevines graveyard return ability? Would Earthshaker Khenra also trigger Vengevine?

With the fetches it's just to activate them to get back Bloodghasts, they are free discards and keeps you on monocolored much like Vengevine, you ~can~ add black to hardcast, but probably not needed. Others would probably tell you to play Burning Inquiry over Tormenting Voice, but voice is just the 5th Cathartic, and you don't always have 2 cards to discard with Cathartic in my experience with the card.
Eternalize is an activated ability as shown in the reminder text, and Flamewake is a trigger, neither trigger Vengevine.

Ok I get it, fetches can reanimate the Bloodghast twice. Agreed, Bloodghast is definitely something worth considering but, not while running Chandra, Torch of Defiance (she wouldn't be able to hardcast Bloodghast so both her +1s would be almost worthless with it). Burning Inquiry is great with Hollow One and Flameblade Adept but, is card disadvantage and can eliminate the cards from hand that are needed to win. Tormenting Voice is the more reliable option.

Maybe add 1 more Insolent Neonate and 2 Smuggler's Copter -3 Earthshaker Khenra. Thoughts?
March 18, 2018 9:37 p.m.
Alright, -3 Earthshaker Khenra and -1 Cathartic Reunion then +1 Insolent Neonate and +3 Smuggler's Copter
I believe copter will work great in this deck so I added 3 since there are plenty of 1cmc to power it.
Thanks for the reinsurance Dorotheus. nod

-1 Hazoret the Fervent -1 Chandra, Torch of Defiance -1 Smuggler's Copter +3 Bloodghast and would like to add 1 more

Hi Ol_man,
If you don't want to run Burning Inquiry you could try a couple of Phantasmagorian, discard one early then trigger when you are ready to use the discard 3 of your choice... I'm tweaking a Hollow One deck myself and I've added a bunch of cards to the maybe board that might give you some ideas, see - Zombie Hollow one

Hey Darth_Savage,
Thanks for linking me to you deck list! After looking over the contents, I've decided to make some big changes to this deck. I went with some of the more luck oriented discard cards like Burning Inquiry and Goblin Lore (seeing how much better they are with Hollow One and Flameblade Adept) and it's amazing how quickly this deck plays now.

Hi Ol_man,
No worries. Sideboard wise I'd recommend Crater Elemental, Darkness and Rakdos Charm I've been fairly happy with them... The deck can be explosive and is probably the most fun I've had for a while.

Alright, not sure if I'm missing any mainboard options that could speed this deck up, it plays out fast as is. If opposing deck has no answers, then this deck is very capable of ending the game anywhere from turn 2-4 all on red mana if need be.

I tested this deck against a pretty solid infect deck and realized the pain lands were hurting it so, I replaced them with mountains. I also removed 3 Become Immense and 1 Land then, added 3 Flamewake Phoenix and 1 Cathartic Reunion.

Deck looks great Ol_man and I'm pretty sure it would be one of the few that could race Affinity. While I'm going to stick with R/B for the moment myself, this has given me something to think about... What makes me hesitate is; you would have a lot of dead cards if you hit against a Leyline of the Void or Rest in Peace, I might be tempted to have a couple of green sources just to allow for enchantment removal...

Thanks Darth_Savage!! Definitely something to consider. I think against a deck with lots of grave hate I'd swap the sidedeck in by pulling the Flamewake Phoenix, Prized Amalgam, Vengevine and Bloodghast out. I tend to veer away from counter strategies but, would opt to take away the obvious weekness of this deck's initial face value during game 2 if plenty of grave hate is experienced game 1 or if after a game 1 win opposing deck sides cards in, attempting to counter.

Need to get some foil mountains and then the deck will be complete
Haha, sick list!

Lmao Hunson_Abadeer I have some from other sets, just not the cool looking unstable mountains. I think I'll wait till they drop in price...if they drop.

drop a Hazorets and Earthshaker for the 4th Neonate, 4 Flamewake Phoenix and a Tormenting Voice.
Hazoret is still a good sideboard card.
At some point you could get red fetchlands and Bloodghasts instead of Chandra, who might accidentally exile cards like Demigod and Vengevine.
