Hmm on mobile it works. On my desktop the "Show" buttons weren't appearing. I mainly wanted to read about the control shell.

Ishio I was just curious as there seemed to be some newer cards to come out that seem like possible additions/replacements and like reading Epochalyptik's reasonings. Was also wondering if there was any consideration of changing Generals as Muldrotha, the Gravetide costs 1 less and gives somewhat immediate card advantage, though granted that is only on permanent cards that have gone to ground.

DruneGrey: Muldrotha, the Gravetide does not give card advantage like Damia, Sage of Stone does. She draws you cards on your upkeep. Muldrotha allows you to play 1 permanent type on your turn from your graveyard. I can understand how that'd be seen as a bit better, but spell finishers are not targetable with her. Granted, when going for the win, your board should be locked down, protection in hand or on the field.
I feel that Muldrotha fills a different niche than what Damia here is being built for.
I've been actively been monitoring the cards that have been released with newer sets, and honestly, I haven't really felt that anything new has a slot in Damia. Perhaps the only thing I can think of, and this is a very expensive cast, would be the 4CMC black wish spell.
I'd be curious what other cards you feel would fit within OP's deck.

DruneGrey: A Muldrotha, the Gravetide deck would be a completely different build as it would be much more permanent heavy and be designed a lot more around the graveyard. A Sidisi, Brood Tyrant list would be a better starting point.
As for new(ish) cards, I think that As Foretold could be interesting. It lets you focus on ramp more while still having answers up in the form of counterspells. though it might be a bit slow. Search for Azcanta Flip could also be decent here.

Have you considered swapping Damia, Sage of Stone for both Thrasios, Triton Hero and Ravos, Soultender? This does two things, it gives you access to white, which means additional wrath and utility effects as well as the two best spot removal spells in commander Swords to Plowshares and Path to Exile. It also gives you an additional outlet for your infinite mana combo which is accessible at all times in the command zone. With the addition of Laboratory Maniac Thrasios becomes a tutor, and instant win by playing LabMan after you find him by digging with her ability. By adding Demonic Consultation in addition to LabMan, you have the ability to win turn 2 while holding some protection with a little ramp by using Consultation to name a card outside of your deck list. Consultation can also serve as a tutor in very dire situations. This will make you mana base substantially more expensive, however you state budget is no concern, so that shouldn't be an issue for you. Probably not what you're looking to do with the deck, I just hadn't seen it suggested yet and thought I would throw it out there. I also chose Ravos over Tymna the Weaver for a reason, while Tymna is more popular, your deck isn't looking to win through combat, so Ravos will allow you to merely wait a turn to go off by recurring whatever piece you need if any of your key pieces get destroyed before you can establish your combo. Best of luck in all future tournaments.

have you considered putting in Manabond? I don't know how great it would be and I feel as if it should at least deserve some level of playtesting.
August 29, 2018 2:15 p.m.
MrMorbid: The problem with Manabond without Damia is that you're not generating the value needed by it alone but with Damia it's either win more, or it makes Damia too vulnerable since you lose your counterspells everytime you use it.

What would you drop for Timetwister fit in to the 100?
September 13, 2018 7:43 p.m.
Would you substitute Windfall for Timetwister or is that just too weak/unreliable?

Hi, I recently came across your "Do you want to write a primer guide?" and have found it greatly helpful. Do you mind if I use this deck's primer as the basis for my deck primers?

I was wondering if Villainous Wealth Was on your radar? It can't be put back into the library like a zenith but utilizing the Deadeye Navigator Palinchron combo in the same way will let you cast someone's entire deck for free.
February 4, 2019 5:51 p.m.
Klancik: Villainous Wealth is generally a pretty bad card for this kind of deck. You don't want to be sinking mana into it outside of combo and inside of combo it's superfluous. Not to mention it still doesn't guarantee a win. With USZ it just finishes the game then and there which is what you want for a combo deck.

So it’s been a year since the latest update, enoch, Epochalyptik any new cards you guys have seen that you like or would like to try. My deck is pretty competitive but not on this level.

So you only really have one way to win and that's Blue Sun's Zenith +infinite mana and that only lets you kill one player or draw your own deck and then, assuming you haven't used them yet, Demonic Tutor for it and then Mystical Teachings for it twice. I'm wondering if you would consider running another way to win with infinite mana. There are many to choose from. The deck is really competitive, but you may want to add in another winon.
June 17, 2019 5:19 p.m.
Cuickbrownfox1: Once you assemble your infinite mana engine, you can also bounce all your opponents' permanents using Venser, Shaper Savant and then just beat with commander damage.
June 17, 2019 8:09 p.m.
Cuickbrownfox1: Well the thing is you can draw your opponents decks out with Rune-Scarred Demon tutoring for Blue Sun's Zenith by flickering Deadeye Navigator to soulbond with RSD in between generating infinite mana. Otherwise, while not listed, you can include Laboratory Maniac in to mill yourself out.

How does Ad Nauseum feel in this deck? I'm still new to brewing competitively, but I've seen it in a number of decks that run black and would like to hear others' opinions.

At All: this deck has not been updated in some amount of years. For those interested in what top edh decks looked like from a long time ago, this is a good representation.
The strategies, while very strong, are subpar for modern cEDH scene. The mana and resource requirement for this deck are voracious, and while it has the ability to obtain necessary conditions to win, it is not as reliable or efficient compared to most recent card releases, strategies, and combos.

I don't normally cross advertise decks but since this one hasn't been updated in three years I think it's ok. I had a lot of discussions with Epochalyptik back in the day about Damia builds and and a fair amount of input into this list as well. I updated my Damia list recently enough with a lot of new cards and no budget:
Damia Morgendorffer
Commander / EDH
SCORE: 56 | 87 COMMENTS | 20399 VIEWS | IN 24 FOLDERS
which might give you some ideas on whht direction you can take the deck in.
