I don't know about you, But I have 3 card:Tormod's Crypt in the SB to deal with Tarmogoyf . Not much Zoo in my meta, but Tarmogoyf isn't the only thing it helps with. Also, Maybe add a card:Steelshaper's Gift to your MB? Shrapnel Blast is another good choice, But I don't see much leeway within your deck for it.

I have this sideboard as a rough outline. I haven't been able to take this to a tourney yet so until I know the meta... you know? I have most of the bases covered, Duress for combo, Rule of Law for storm, Dispatch for the rogue re-animators, Spellskite , and Torpor Orb both for general purpose tech.
I'll tell you what though, when I do go to a tourney I'm going to bring 4x card:Tormod's Crypt to toss in if I can scout pre-game.

looks cool, how much did/does it cost to make? i would give suggestions but have no clue what older cards are, but if you can get thought seize, you should play it

The most expensive part is the Glimmervoid s and they're like 10 a pop. The rest are commons and uncommons. Over time I will acquire Ethersworn Canonist as a replacement for Rule of Law . I'd like to make room for another Etched Champion but I don't really see a place for him at the moment.

I was feeling pretty good about my Deadrites Lite deck until I tested against this. In all of the games I did good until you drew cards with Thoughtcast then I just lost.
+1'ing the deck, and definitely testing more to find a way to take at least one game over this.

Affinity usually folds to burn. Pillar of Flame /Galvanic Blast /Path to Exile /Dispatch /Shock /Lightning Bolt all effectively roast me. It's one of the reasons that the mirror match blows SOOOO hard.
Thanks for the playtesting. I haven't lost much but when I do it's hardcore.

Yeah, noticed that when I tested against my Quest of Burning Flames. A few good burns and your creature base just disappears and a Shrine of Burning Rage t2 just turns that burn into your death.
I might have to add Zealous Persecution to the main in place of Smother and Dismember to deal with early aggro like that.

Left a comment over there but I like Tragic Slip with all of your tokens that are going to be getting picked off.

The colored artifact lands are banned in Modern. Fun fact: that would make the deck identical to the Legacy version of this.

Play both Nexi, there is rarely a reason not to. Plus Blinkmoth Nexus can use its pump effect on an active Inkmoth Nexus !

Fair enough, all the same; if you can get them, get them. :)

If I could get them I might use them. TBH I've been considering adding the Artifact lands and making this a legacy deck.
November 15, 2012 8:19 a.m.
If so, You might want to consider Arcbound Ravager . Of course, You'd then be better of with Blinkmoth Nexus over Inkmoth Nexus just because it's trying to kill them two different ways, and makes it less efficient in the long run.

The legacy version doesn't run Inkmoth Nexus OR Blinkmoth Nexus because they take mana to turn into an artifact. The artifact lands do not.

-I'm not seeing a turn 2 Tezzeret as vey likely. Consider dropping him for some card:Steelshaper's Gifts. -I assume the Rule of Law is just because you don't want to have to pay for additional Canonists?-What's Torpor Orb coming in against?-I'm not sure what the prices are but Blinkmoth Nexus would indeed be better than Inkmoth Nexus.

I never want to drop tezzeret. He blows out any deck that has enough control to stop the early assualt. I recently bought 2x Ethersworn Canonist so the Rule of Law will come out as soon as they arrive. Torpor Orb comes in against Miriella Pod to stop the combo with Kitchen Finks . I like the interaction with Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas /Cranial Plating + Inkmoth Nexus too much. It may be an alternate damage type but I won't ever swing unless it's an alpha strike.
Thanks for your thoughts though.

The only thing that is holding me back from playing Ethersworn Canonist is her pricetag. $10 for each for a sideboard card just isn't worth it right now.
