Swadhawx: until Godzilla redeems himself for the 1998 abomination with Matthew Broderick, I consider that title up for grabs.

Oh no no no, that ain't Godzilla. They officially renamed him "Zilla" so that way the original Godzilla TOHO made could obliterate him in under a minute in Final Wars. Here, I'll show https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIcExdpsEcQ

That's a fine excuse and all, but the movie is still called "Godzilla." The animated series was still "Godzilla." Besmirched or not, Godzilla still has that on his record.
Not to mention Godzuki.

I'd love for you to playtest my deck against yours: I've done a few rounds, and it's a fantastic match. Call it the mirror if you want, but I'm more Jund Midrange than Jund monsters, like you.

What do you think about Garruk, Caller of Beasts in this deck? Alongside domri?
June 16, 2014 9:51 p.m.
Garruk is 6 mana and not enough impact in this deck since he only gets creatures and many of our best spells are non creatures.

What about Chandra, pyromaster? I've read some people use her in jund monsters.
June 17, 2014 2:56 p.m.
I'm testing her now. She's fine. But I'm not really sure if she's better than a 25th creature

I Like your Deck. I am Currently playing a Naya GR/m deck. And I am struggling in my Meta. I have a few Jund Cards and have been thinking about changing it over. I probably cant afford Abrupt Decay though. I notice that in mirrors you drop Courser of Kruphix, why is that?

@ traznex:
Courser of Kruphix is underwhelming in the mirror. As a 2/4 it doesn't trade well with any of the other threats and can't really pressure your opponent. Mana is certainly important to have access to. But the 8 mana accelerators does that job in the mirror well enough. All in all, it's just one of the less impactful cards you have. And you'd rather have more dedicated removal and cards that can out-attrition your monster-mirror opponent.

Two questions: How do you deal with straight bburn? There isn't a whole lot of large life gain, minus the Whip of Erebos . Also, what would you suggest for a meta game with indestructible creatures? I am thinking of my store where people play Ensoul Artifact on Darksteel Citadel and Ornithopter . Largely, I have been Abrupt Decay ing their enchantment, but they usually either have done a huge amount of damage, and/or zap me with a Shrapnel Blast , sacing the artifact.....I am at a losss. I figured you're the right person to ask, as I am also playing jund, currently.

PS: My current jund build is at Current Jund Build in Standard.

If you want to hedge against burn, you can play more incidental lifegain cards. Bow of Nylea , Nylea's Disciple . Those are all things you can play. I've had to deal with a lot less Burn recently. But between the whip, Courser of Kruphix, and Scavenging Ooze, I've managed to survive pretty well.
As for the darksteel build. Without Ensoul Artifact they really don't pose much threat. And between Abrupt Decay, Golgari Charm, and Vraska there are plenty of outs for Jund...and that's if they manage to put it on a Darksteel Citadel. With other removal we're in a pretty good position.

Yeah I think it's going to be a couple more Nylea's Disciple . I also didn't think of the Bow of Nylea , which I can also use to ping their Ornithopter s. Oh, scissors. It's such an annoying deck.

Honestly between Abrupt Decay and Golgari Charm you shouldn't have much issue with Ensoul Artifact. And if it (along with RW Burn) is a big issue in your meta then you might want to consider a different deck. Jund can be explosive, but that requires several of its pieces falling into place. Against some of the faster decks it can be easy to falter.

When you're up against indestructible Unravel the Aether is a useful card, even if it's a free shuffle it helps quite a bit against gods, and Darksteel Citadel .

I wound up finding that the Abrupt Decay s and Golgari Charm were really all I needed. I went 4-0-1 on Friday, and 3-1 on Sunday, losing only to a WB Control/Midrange, and tying with a WU Control deck that stalled me until game three could not be won. However, when the sets rotate, all facts depending, I may wind up taking on the Unravel the Aether and/or Back to Nature out of necessity. We'll see what cards come up as new.

I felt like game one Jared could have waited to see if he hit a downfall off the top.
