I would cut those eldrazi and eldrazi lands. In most meta they are not appreciated and in all meta they will only get you killed faster by putting a huge target on you. Only deck where i would use them is in a Sneak Attack , Show and Tell , Eureka deck, with haste so they can finish the game right away. Also with dragon you end up with a real high average cmc, eldrazi only raise it higher.
Dryad Arbor is strictly worse than a basic land in your deck, it's vulnerable to creature destruction.
I would also replace these with basic lands : Fungal Reaches , Ghitu Encampment and Treetop Village .
I would add more spell ramp to this deck, Cultivate , Skyshroud Claim and others. Also the lategame Boundless Realms is amazing for cleaning your library of any remaining basics + gives you so much mana that you wont care anymore.
Need some boardwipes in this deck. While Damnation is expansive, good old Chain Reaction will do the trick. Also think about Fireball and Meteor Storm that are more versatile.

Good point about Huntmaster and Dryad Arbor .
I'm particularly fond of Eldrazi and would like to keep them. What if I created a defensive subtheme with Walls/Defenders and such?
My thought behind the man lands was that after a board wipe I'm left with something on board if I have nothing in hand... What's your reason for cutting them?
More ramp is doable, as are board wipes. I have Slagstorm , however it could be underpowered here... Fireball definitely. Also Life's Finale as opposed to Damnation for the aforementioned price.

Because of my general, I considered more Dragons as well...

I do run Life's Finale in all my black deck, Slagstorm is not powerfull enough to be a boardwipe, try Comet Storm it's a better fireball. For the man land it's just that they come into play tapped and can't be fetched by ramp spells.

If you want to keep the eldrazi, add a lot of mana rock. Mana Vault , signets, Gilded Lotus , Grim Monolith and such... Even without eldrazi, add some since you want to cast your commander as soon as you can (turn 3-4). I would also cut those 2 garruk and add Garruk, Primal Hunter . You absolutely need to draw cards. Games will last 20-30 turns and most of the time, empty hands mean you are dead.

You see where i am going with all this, at some point you will need to cut some "themes"... Here is an average of what i use in "creature" decks like this one.
38 lands, 30-35 creatures, 5-10 draw, 2-3 boardwipe, 5-7 spot removals, 4-6 mana rock, 3-4 ramp. You can play with those but you will need some of each.
Once again, what is the plan? Dealing 40 damages or 21 commander? Wanna do it with dragons? Eldrazi? How will you take advantage of your commander? What are the cards that have nice synergy that you realy want to keep?

Excellent feedback that is much appreciated, thank you!
I have several mana rocks, spot removal, and cards like Earthquake . I lack Comet Storm , but it's affordable to get one.
Now red has card draw with negative side effects, green and black have card draw I can add. Would you count tutors as card draw?

Tutors are awsome, but no it's not realy draw. Late game when you are empty handed (hope you have enough draw to not be empty handed), if you topdeck a Harmonize , Sign in Blood or Mind's Eye it will help you alot. Even Howling Mine can fix your draw. I still use tutor but more as a way to get combo pieces or boardwipes when needed.

Before I begin any suggestions, is there any reason in particular you're only running 5 dragons, including Karrthus?

Yeah, he's the only Jund commander besides Kresh that I own... Lol.

Given Karrthus' ability, more dragons couldn't hurt....

I ended up falling asleep typing a reply, sorry.
Actually, I think that Kresh the Bloodbraided would actually be a better commander for this deck. You have a lot of large things that will probably be more high priority targets than Kresh. I mean, if someone's trying to kill Kresh when you have Kozilek, Butcher of Truth and Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger on the battlefield, clearly they're already in deep, deep trouble.
I think that Greater Good is also a better card drawer than Momentous Fall , but you don't gain life. Your call there.

Haha! It's all good.
If Kresh were my commander, would more tokens/sac outlets be needed? Also, what about edict effects like Barter in Blood ?
April 3, 2014 2:24 p.m.
GoldGhost012 says... #16
You have quite a few token enablers and sackers, so I really think you should be fine, especially since you have quite a few sac outlets that are repeatable, like Birthing Pod . Greater Good would be even better now though, and Grave Pact would be a giant "screw you." The only other thing I'd suggest is finding an anthem effect to raise your Eldrazi Spawns' power.

Right on. I forgot that I made a Kresh list:
Kresh's Rolling Crap in a Ball.
I want to keep this list a bit different (although many cards are similar), capitalizing on some late game Dragons. I have Moltensteel Dragon , Furyborn Hellkite , and a few other decent Dragons.
Any suggestions on synergy?

GoldGhost012 says... #18
Well, as a general rule Karrthus wants you to put up as much ramp or cards that cut costs as quickly as possible so that you can start swinging with him early and start busting out cheaper dragons every turn to add to the slaughter. You can take a look at my Karrthus EDH deck, although it's way more focused on Tribal Dragon:

I like Greater Good and can see it being abused with graveyard synergy and the like. May have to figure that out later...
I'll look for some other Dragons to compliment Karrthus.
I dig your build, btw. I like a lot of the utility I have here without being as tribal. I think that every card I have does something useful and adds some sort of synergy. What do you think?

Oh, no doubt. I think it's really interesting the amounts of synergy you packed in here, especially deviating from "normal" Karrthus builds.

:-P
I saw a primer video on Eldrazi EDH that used Karrthus as the general, as Jund compliments the ramp, draw, tutors, removal, etc. that they need. This was before, sadly, Emrakul and Primeval Titan were banned.
I didn't exactly copy the list, but many of the base ideas are the same.

Dude! Hellkite Charger + Sword of Feast and Famine !!
Bear Umbra + Hellkite Charger works better, though. A friend who's played against some other Karrthus decks suggested that.

for the name, I think itd be better if it was "Don't Be Hasty, But please be Tasty" instead.

I'll continu looking at your deck latter but i already spotted 2 things. In EDH flip cards aren't realy good. Even if Huntmaster of the Fells Flip is awsome, i doubt it will flip often. Also both of your decks are limit with the land base. Usualy, 40 lands -.5 for each mana rock always brings you around 38. Even if you have ramp. The goal of ramp is not to run fewer lands but to get to big spells faster than your opponent.
