Try an Ugin, the Spirit Dragon in here. I really like it in control.

i would love him but very expensive ha, if i find a good deal for him ill definitely put him in what would you think of Sorin, Solemn Visitor for his plus one to give the fodder lifelink

Really helps with the control aspect of it by giving your team Lifelink until your NEXT TURN, which really helps. Replace a Drown in Sorrow and an Anticipate for a 2 of him. Also make sure to check out my Exploit deck! Sidisi uses Exploit! It's Super Effective(HELP!!)

I run a similar deck with sidis's faithfuls as well. Might consider bringing in Aetheros, he works really well with anything with ETB or die effects, such as jeskei sage, palace familiar and slumigar's sorcerer. Sage and familiar particularly effective with chump blockers that give you cards.

Yo man cheers for the comment, i was thinking about using him he is quite cool, what would you take out for it. Only thing id think is that id never have enough devotion to really make him a creature but i dont think thats a problem

April 25, 2015 7:16 p.m.

This is just an idea, but

Curse of the Swine?

hey man cheers for the comment, how would you use it most effectively as a board wipe of enemies then bile of blight them kind of thing, or to make my fodder stronger. Im getting another Ashiok, Nightmate weaver and Dragonlord Ojutai and possibly two Dig Through Time so i already have to take stuff out for this

April 29, 2015 7:06 p.m.

Take out the negates for a silumgar's acorn and a dissolve. Makes you more consistent and you counter everything, not just noncreature spells

OK. Please update after you've run it. I'm particularly interested in how it fares vs. aggro.

Hey man, Stubborn Denial seems like it may work well if playing against aggro, as until turn 3-4 they generally use their full mana pool for casting their creatures/spells. Also, if you're looking for some really quick and semi-easy changes that would probably help a lot here, Polluted Delta and Flooded Strand would definitely help the mana. Since you particularly want to counter aggressive decks, I don't believe Narset is being used to her full potential, you could probably switch her out for either, like the previous comment, Ugin, or maybe a second Sorin, Solemn Visitor. Temple of Enlightenment seems like a really good land choice here too. Anyways, certainly a cool twist. It'd be fun to play against! I really like that usage of the exploit, it's really well thought of.

Cheers man, i always thought to use Silumgars scorn simply because if i have a dragon in hand it is always a counter but i will test it with Stubborn Denial aswell. I keep buying boosters to try and get the fetchlands :) fingers crossed ill get some more i just cannot afford to buy them at the moment. I am going to try and get a Ugin, the Spirit Dragon and replace narset with him i think it is a good idea, once again is hard to come by ha am having to build it slowly but surely but basically have the whole thing. What would you think i should take out to bring it down to 60 cards aswell because i am struggling here, thanks for the advice btw

Mintaaayyy says... #23

Also don't have an temple of enlightenments atm but may get some but do you not think that would be too many taplands?

May 8, 2015 6:49 a.m.

Duckling says... #24

They temples would be good to switch with other tap lands generally, the scry really helps out a lot in games, I find anyways. I understand completely the struggles of getting the expensive cards, so take your time, besides, you have a good deck now :) Small improvements over time is all you need to do. To bring it down card-wise, I'd probably take out the Jeskai Sage or Palace Familiar, I understand how well they work with the exploit ability, but with having 7, you might get too many. (I'm not sure on that, that's completely up to you)I'd probably take out the Ojutai's Command, because it costs 4 mana which can be fairly inconvenient, I find. As far as other options for taking out cards, I find Negate, a useful card that I like, but it is probably one of the cards I would take out sooner than many others. You have scorns, dissipates, and sorcerers, so I feel as if it could be taken out. The main reason I suggested Stubborn Denial was for the fact that the 1 mana versatility of the card can really change the early game. And then late game, in this deck you have enough creatures with enough power for it to be very effective. Anyways, good luck, and have fun! :)

Yeh im getting one from my friend and will see if i can find another one or two somewhere, Yeh im thinking i may take out a sorcerer and a sage for 2 Haven of the Spirit Dragon for more land drops and to get back Ugin. Hmm this is true about the four mana, but i do like the life gain that it gives but i suppose i do have foul tongue and the fodder which give me the same effects. I have a play set of Stubborn Denial so will definitely test it. Cheers for the suggestions mannn
