Goodbye, Azorius Charm —Feb. 19, 2016

Blessed Breath instead of Azorius Charm. This card helps a lot against removal (targeted or sweepers) and adds a ton of consistency, thanks to the Arcane trigger with Tallowisp.

Obligatory upvote. :D

Have you tried the new Blessed Spirits?

TheLivingCME: Thanks for the upvote! :D and thanks again, because I think that I finally have found the substitute of Latch Seeker in Blessed Spirits. Months of playtests and here is the perfect 3-drop! :D

Ahahah, I'm glad my suggestion was helpful. :)

By the way, other cards that could interest you (mostly for the sideboard): Kira, Great Glass-Spinner and Kataki, War's Wage.

They're a bit pricey, but great! Kataki is beautiful in the sideboard. Thanks for the suggestions! (and welcome to the Hall of Fame of people that helped this deck, in the description) lol

I didn't notice the price tag for Kira. Forget about it! :P

Thank you for the Hall! :D I actually want to build this deck, so if something interesting comes from my experience, I will report to you!

Im a bit leery of Kira, as that ability will also counter enchantments going on to your own creatures. The captain does the job better for cheaper.

Right, it could be useful only after I set everything. For example turn 3 Blessed Spirits, turn 4 Ordeal of Heliod and attack with mana for some protection, turn 5 Kira, Great Glass-Spinner, turn 6 the opponent starts to lose hair and to run away from the table screaming. Lol, but that's great only in the late game, when I already enchanted everything, but the Captain is the best. <3

Is there supposed to be 61 cards in the deck?

October 22, 2015 3:59 p.m.

Javaz says... #11

I feel like with 61 cards the deck has the right proportions. I can't think of cutting one of any of the cards I the deck; many of my decks don't have exactly 60 cards.

Thats good to Know just making sure it wasn't a mistake or anything.

Hey there,

This deck looks like a total blast and I am looking forward to constructing it. I had a question about the land base. If you were not going for the budget build, do you think you would include fetches / dual lands for thinning and utility, or do you feel they are not needed?

Thanks for your hard work!

Would you make a non budget version of this deck?

Keeshe, wolfboy193: I'll try to make the non-budget version of this deck soon! (Including the right manabase)

Great deck, +1 from me! One quick question, though. Can I put in any amount of Path to Exile in the deck?

Javaz says... #17

I put the Path to Exiles in the non-budget version of this deck! :)

If its non budget i would recommend lands such as Hallowed Fountain, Flooded Strand but if its budget you could go for some Prairie Streams or Azorius Guildgates

Great deck concept. Have you considered using Ghostway to prevent against board clearing cards? It certainly fits the theme of the deck.

Plea for Guidance may work here. I know it's a little high on CMC, but it could be a last solution...

Have you thought about replacing Invisible Stalker with Flitterstep Eidolon? The fact that Flitterstep is a spirit ensures you don't lose a chance to trigger Tallowisp. The only downside is it will rely on Drogskol Captain for hexproof.

Javaz says... #22

Awesomenator33: I'll fit the Prairie Streams in the non budget version. Thanks!

AlamoPatriot: Thanks! Dawn Charm is my choice to protect my creatures, but a nice protection against wraths is nice in the sideboard. Thanks a lot!

Atony1400: It's great, but unfortunately it costs too much to be playable :/ thanks for the suggestion!

luckyloser62: Invisible Stalker is a little insurance against removal, like "put a Ordeal of Heliod or two on him and watch the opponent cry", but I'm open to replace it with something more useful for the deck. I was thinking about a 1-drop spirit for a turn 3 Pacifism with Tallowisp. Thanks for the suggestion!

Did anyone mention Hero of Iroas yet? It can reduce the cost of your enchantments.

I started running two of Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit, and she turned the deck a lot more midrange for me. I could put a lot of extra power on board even when I had no Tallowisp or Sunbond for the combo.

I'm curious to what your thought on a card called : Oppressive Rays, for this deck.

Thanks
