It's really expensive for the effect and the Warrior clause will never be relevant.

Did you think of some lifegain of Radiant Fountain? Could be useful to stay alive

The only issue is, i can't really pull out any of the lands, except maybe the Dismal Backwater, and those are really crucial to color fixing. When it comes down to it, the color requirements are pretty strict, and hitting a colorless could easily throw off an otherwise good game.

I apologize for linking my deck list here, but it's a similar list and there is a bunch of info in the description that is probably easier to read that for me to copy here:

U\B Waste Not- need SB help

Here are a few of my thoughts on your build:

1- with as little blue that you actually run, you don't need the Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth. At the very most, you're turning your fetchlands into swamps- which they can do by themselves anyway... more often than not, you'll be helping out the decks that use black more than you're helping yourself.

2- I personally feel you shouldn't cut down on the Dark Deal. Granted, I've built my deck so that it has multiple uses (see Fate Unraveler and Chasm Skulker ), but there's no better feeling than T2 Waste Not into a T3 Dark Deal- ok, I take it back- the one better feeling is doing that and hitting 2 lands on the discard and casting another Dark Deal... that's the best ever. But you want to keep the chance of doing this as high as possible, and removing a deal reduces that.

3- I think that you need an additional win con. Instead of the Damnable Pact, maybe run Risen Executioner? He's a great fit here. If he gets killed, milled by the Raks Secret, or discarded to a Deal, you just bring him back. And with all the delve you have, if his recursion cost gets too high, delve away the other creatures.

So that's my 2 cents. Hopefully some of these ideas\ thoughts will help you out with your list. I've had a bunch of success with this build, my biggest issue is getting the side board worked out.

Fate Unraveler could wreck on here

bellz76, thanks for all the feedback. I originally had a pretty big aversion to Risen Executioner because he couldn't block, and a lot of games get grindy and I need to stall until I can blow-out. Putting him in give me a better offensive pressure position, so I think I'll try out a two-of. As for Dark Deal, it ends up being cute more than useful a lot. It definitely fits in the deck, but without Chasm Skulker (which I'm thinking about trying out, btw) and Fate Unraveler, it doesn't do as much work. I think keeping the 4th in the hopes that I can live the dream marginally more often is not enough to keep 4 in. Thanks again for your feedback.

Yeah, I just recently added the Risen Executioner and was pleasantly surprised. There's so much u\b and Esper running around that having them in the main meant beating control in 2 out of the 3 times I played them the other night. And when you can run him out with zombie tokens out, the 3\3 make a big difference. But I think the key is to just keep swinging with him and make them trade\ remove him, and you just keep bringing him back. Obviously he's not good when you're behind, but the deck typically plays a bit on the aggressive side (at least my build does).

Ever thought about putting in Mind Rot and or Mind Sculpt.

April 30, 2015 7:22 p.m.

Mind Rot is almost strictly worse than Rakshasa's Secret in this deck. Secret works better alone, giving me more delve fuel. As for Mind Sculpt, if I were going for a mill build, it would be stellar, but it's too results-oriented to find a home here. Thanks for the suggestions though.

Might want to replace treasure cruise with dig through time if you're looking for more consistency. Other than that it looks good.

My most recent build ran 2 each of Dig and Cruise. While I definitely liked Dig, it usually was better when I was on the losing end, and whatever I grabbed couldn't save me at that point anyway. Double blue is also much more problematic than I want it to be. For right now, Cruise is the right choice for me, as it gets gas and builds up Chasm Skulker. That's definitely a slot I;m still trying to nail down though. Thanks for the feedback :)

I did something similar, but mine had more of a "force feed" thing going on. Looks fun! Careful What You Wish For
