This deck was designed around Exquisite Blood.
Try to get that out as soon as you can.
Once that is out, all of the creatures in this deck do some kind of damage to a target or all opponents. The idea behind it was no one will want to attack you while your blockers can explode on them, nor will they want to block you with creatures that could potentially kill off your creatures.
There is a weakness with having only 1 flying creature in this deck, but if you are being attacked, hopefully you have Sudden Spoiling in your hand and not only make all of your opponent's attacking creatures a bunch of 0/2 chumps with no abilities, you may be able to kill them off by blocking with no fear of losing your creatures yet.
If everyone is still ignoring you and your creatures, you can play Killing Wave, choose not to pay any life and all your creatures blow up and brings everyone elses life down, which in turn brings your life total up.
If they are still ignoring you, you can tap your
Leechridden Swamp
to do damage to everyone each turn.
Exsanguinate also has this effect and if you do this while Exquisite Blood is out, you will gain double life.
Kokusho, the Evening Star is a great card to have out because he can block flying and also combos well with putting Kokusho, the Evening Star onto the battlefield. Yes, this kills him, but now you have 2 of them dying and put into your graveyard. Everyone loses 10 life, you gain 20 life from each opponent.
Great for multiplayer, a bit slow for 1v1.
