This deck is an Abzan ({W}{B}{G}) colored list, helmed by The Necrobloom.

Theme

"..Give me the keys and I'll drive you insane.. take apart your brain.."

The name sake of the deck has been a long time favorite song of mine from the artist- I hope you enjoy it!

This deck is originally being created as a challenge issued by SaskiaKnight711. The purposeful challenge was meant to be this:

"An Abzan colored deck that is token focused."

With this in mind, I couldn't help but think about The Necrobloom, just on absolute instinct. Best veggie boy!

But, I insisted that SaskiaKnight711 choose a commander, and I just happened to get lucky.

Bite My Crooked Shape

The deck will also be featuring tons of quoted lyrics from a Dance Gavin Dance song, which is the namesake of the deck. I happen to really like the band, and have listened to them for more than a decade.

Construction

"..No, prep him for the ghost..

I'm intending on creating this deck with ultra high levels of synergy in mind, and couple that with thematically ADORABLE creatures (I seriously can't f@#$%ing wait and it's like I also can't stop f@#$%ING cussing but like I'm typing it but it's IMPORTAN BECAUSE EXCITE) -

So yeah, very excited about the combo lines and creatures.

"..When the stomach becomes the mouth..And it's spewing all its garbage out..

Stuff like Insidious Fungus make me happy because of the general vibe and Fungus application within this deck.

Utopia Mycon is also a much older card that presents a lot of flavor in my opinion. I wanted this deck to include a bunch of plants that represented how The Necrobloom represents some really cool floral themes.

Gluntch, the Bestower should have made the list but it didn't provide enough value. Womp womp.

I know this isn't the most competitively driven deck, but it has access to a bunch of super cool stuff!

Sometimes including cards like Ancient Greenwarden can make for bombastic plays.

I also happen to really appreciate Cultivator Colossus for the follow up, it's just salt in the wounds.

The whole deck thematically AND mechanically slaps.

This deck is a magnificent labor of love that shares odes to deckbuilding influence I've gotten from Balaam__. That guy is always tryna quote Shakespeare nnsh@#$%t, so I'm gonna start quoting folks too.

I seriously don't know how I'll interpret feedback on this deck because it's just an enigma.

Something so cool I don't know how to describe it perfectly.

I've only put off creating The Necrobloom only because I knew I would be infatuated with it.
