I haven't been building much recently, but I'm so excited by Kodama of the East Tree I can't contain myself! So much potential (don't worry, still no combos!), starting with the fact that Kodama solves the superfriends dilemma: do you play a creature of a planeswalker? K.o.t.E. says, "why choose?" Play a planeswalker and a blocker at the same time! You want value? With K.o.t.E. on the board, play The Great Henge for 3 mana and drop a Terrastodon for free (and draw for Terrasty, obvs). Drop Tevesh Szat, OG Planeswalker and get a free Fleshbag Marauder to keep the heat off him. Play cost reduction mechanics to get massive discounts on a card like Spearbreaker Behemoth...I have Ghoultree, Primeval Protector, and Ghalta, but there are others. And did I mention tricks? I haven't even freed up a Vedalken Orrery for this bad boy, but dropping an Omen of the Hunt and a Demon's Disciple out of the blue seems like fun, and some creature tokens are copies that include mana cost. I'm really looking forward to hitting Avacyn or a Craterhoof with Nemesis Trap, and using that token to drop a Spearbreaker or Dawnglade Regent for free. The possibilities are more endless than they have ever been!!
