Why don't I see a Skinshifter? 3 mana for an 8/8 seems incredibly strong. Even if Doran gets killed he can still be a 4/4 trampler and can even get flying for that extra evasion needed to punch a planeswalker in the face.

I've also gotten a lot of mileage out of Accorder's Shield and Spidersilk Net

I would also vouch that Spiritmonger>Thornling.

Wrath of God and Damnation disagree with Spiritmonger being better.

Also, you can go into negative power so with infinite mana Thornling can kill someone.

Ohthenoises Ive tried out the shield, and the net and found them lacking of really adding much to the deck, also yes Thornling is beast in this deck, I've considered dropping a wipe to add in Wrath of God, though I think a better wipe can be found!

With the wipes you have now, though, Spiritmonger can still live.

I like it! Lots of very synergistic cards, and ones I hadn't thought of!

Mine runs a bunch of reanimator. I've been trying to fit more of the Oathsworn Giant-type cards in, but I get wrecked too easily without some sort of anti-control measures.

FunkyGraham what anti control mechanics do you use, I find my trouble is not having enough draw power and puttering out, it doesnt help white doesnt get alot of draw love!

If you are looking for card draw, Necropotence, Yawgmoth's Bargain

black non-enchantment draw, Sign in Blood, Night's Whisper, Ambition's Cost, Mind's Eye, Mask of Memory Skullclamp

Sylvan Library + Abundance = a free Ancestral Recall every turn pretty much ...

All in all i enjoy the deck. It is a nice budget commander deck.

I think Unstoppable Ash is a good choice for my experience. It can be fetched and championed on Treefolk Harbinger, and with a Lure effect and Doran, he could kill with one blow. +5/+5 and trample for each creature the opponent controls is pretty strong!

Especially if Gift of the Deity is involved.

As for draw, there are easy ways. Decree of Pain gives a nice emergency button to refill your hand, and an endgame finisher to clear the path for your indestructible Treefolk, or Deathreap Ritual for more passive free draw.

soymonk I have been off and on debating putting in Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa into this deck it seems like a good way to get my damage through.

FunkyGraham as much as I like Ravos, Soultender I think he is better suited for a Orzhov cleric tribal brew, then here I don't think he makes enough of an impact to include in my 99. though I have been thinking of doing a Cleric tribal deck for a cool minute so may throw him in there.

I understand. I have a very heavy passive/etb reanimator theme in my deck, and he's too much like Karmic Guide and Debtors' Knell to pass up. He also gets brought back by Reveillark! So does Kondo, by the way.

Whatever happened to our beloved 0 and 1 drops? Our Ornithopter, Phyrexian Walker, Shield Sphere, Tasseled Dromedary, Yoked Ox, and Disowned Ancestor will feel jealous. Also, what of our beautiful Abzan friend, Sandsteppe Citadel? you surely didn't forget THAT, did you? Plus, I would like you to consider the beautiful art of the Dragons of Tarkir Evolving Wilds over the same boring old Terramorphic Expanse. Oh yeah, and what of the lovely Trees? The Tree of Redemption and, especially, the Tree of Perdition? Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback, and I hope you include one or more of my ideas in your deck! I'm actually building a deck similar to this one right now! a definite +1.

Oh, wait. I see the trees are in there. Have you considered using Glistening Oil on them?

Worldly Tutor is often better than Eladamri's Call.

I have had Worldly tutor on my short list for a few EDH brews, just always forget to pick them up :D

I don't think you have enough multicolored spells in your deck to make Pillar of the Paruns good. May I suggest Reflecting Pool?

January 28, 2017 5:11 p.m.

TransMarx says... #24

that is another good suggestion, but sake of budget I think Ill go with the Junk Shard land :D I assumed I already had it on this list

This deck is very well put together, the only card that rubs me the wrong way is Heartwood Storyteller because I hate group hugs and your deck isnt really built around it.
