Sideboard

My First Commander Deck! Lots of fun here, The mechanic of the deck is to gain toughness to my life total from ETB (Angelic Chorus), from LTB (Proper Burial), and the sac (Worthy Cause and others like it). Shamelessly doubling that with a Boon Reflection and/or Rhox Faithmender.

Forgoing the En-Kor for a more challenging method of targeting, I use 0 cost equip to pump the 3 versions of Daru Spiritualist over and over then do my thing. ...to an arbitrarily large number. 'bouts to add a Leonin Shikari when I find one to crank up the 'infinite life' to instant speed.UPDATE: Leonin Shkari now added in maindeck. I'll caution anyone who makes this build that the Targeting that is the trigger event for the pump that eventually gains arbitrarily large life is not on the ink of these cards. It's either hiding in the definition of Equip or in the oracle for 2 out of the 3 en-Kors(SB). So unless play is extremely aggressive, it'll cause less confusion to inform other players what your cards really say before you use them. Then again I'm a goldfish player.

Trademark moves:

-Use Arbiter of Knollridge to bump everybody at the table up to an arbitrarily large life total, basically removing regular damage as a win condition and making players focus on other methods, perhaps cooperating to do so.

-Power Play: It's not a Zombie deck but, I can't resist running the Army of the Damned. Best case, Trostani and Angelic Chorus both see 13 2/10s enter the battlefield. and give me (after doubling) 520 life each. Now that's a deal for 8 mana.

-Draw 'em out by skipping my turns with the Chronosavant

(This isn't fool-proof. If someone sets my life total from one hundred billion to 10 or to 1, then I deserve to lose to them, I'm okay with that).

Recent changes: Benalish Commander and Deathbringer Liege are out. Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim is in. Wall of Nets, a good deterrant, swapped to SB for Wall of Shards.

[HISTORY]

Walls were always my pet creature type, hearbroken to only find room for 3 of them here. Castle is the flavor of the deck, and I spent some effort collecting all 4 cards that gave me the +0/+2 bonus, though they seem less cool the more I break this deck. Crackdown and Meekstone slow-up the Voltron opponent when the Pacifism effects can't. That buys time for the lifegain to get better established. I tinkered with the idea of +1/+1 counters for a bit, but I don't need my creatures affected by Meekstone. So just Cradle of Vitality remains, and that's to pump the opponents creatures to keep them big enough, and Deathbringer Liege went out for a little more recovery for the Meekstone/ combo pieces, in the way of Argivian Find.

In my heart, I feel that the En-Kor, also Sanguine Bond are too broken to be sporting, and needs to go to the sideboard. But to mimic the effect, I've seen Vizkopa Guildmage in tandem with a Silklash Spider end up taking a whole table of 13 people down :P

Sideboard now updated with cards that may make it a little less silly at a more competitive table.
