My most recent nerdy obsession (Dota) meets my all-time most nerdy obsession (Magic) in yet another flavor deck! While browsing r/dota2 with AutoCardAnywhere enabled, I was able to make connections about just how much the Dota universe shares with the Magic universe.

Of course, with any number of fantasy interpretations, there is going to be a great number of spillover. But with the Magic universe, I saw potential for far more: a story deck. And that story is one of Tower Defense .

This deck is only barely playable with five colors and no mana-fixing, which presumably makes piloting it a lot like Dota 2 already.

But what little progress you are able to build up against your opponent's own efforts will make all the difference.

Your opponents will crumble under a well-timed Death Ward , and will be forced to retreat back to the Radiant Fountain as you suckle from the opulent Essence Bottle .
