Nice deck!

Just a question: Do Phantasmal ImageMTG Card: Phantasmal Image return from the graveyard with +1/+1 counter on it if it is a copy of a creature with undying? And in that case can Phantasmal Image then become a copy of a new creature?

+1!

He becomes a copy of whatever creature so yes I believe he gets undying and then can copy a new creature. Cool idea. But if there are no creatures to copy he becomes a 1/1 illusion.

*0/0 Illusion, unless Lord of the UnrealMTG Card: Lord of the Unreal or something that would increase his toughness is on the field. He doesn't have the standard "dies when targeted" ability, though.

undying gives it +1/+1

Cool synergy! I must try that. To something else: Is this deck competitive? Can it do well in a standard tournament?

I would go for Midnight HauntingMTG Card: Midnight Haunting over Lingering SoulsMTG Card: Lingering Souls, if only because you can use it to block creatures when you have swung with everything, but that's heavily dependant on your opponent.

At the least, I would sideboard it.

Take a look at Mono-Green Overrun if you have a chance, I could use the help.

Maybe 2 Sun Titans!!! to deal another way to win, (Sun Titan, Phantasmal image "copy Titan", Panthasmal image (copy Titan), another image or oblivion ring!

Good Deck! I'm a big fan of this kind of deck!

I would trade those Niblis of the UrnMTG Card: Niblis of the Urn for 2 Lingering SoulsMTG Card: Lingering Souls...

Check out mine: deck:uw-spirits-v5

Hi again. I liked your deck so much, that I had to make my own take on it. Mine is a more control oriented deck. Tell me what you think! :)

So my deck:soul-tapped is almost an exact copy of this deck. Venser, the SojournerMTG Card: Venser, the Sojourner is godly in your deck so I'm borrowing that as well as the Phantasmal ImageMTG Card: Phantasmal Image. What do you think of Cackling CounterpartMTG Card: Cackling Counterpart so you can copy your captain before an IncinerateMTG Card: Incinerate or ShockMTG Card: Shock can get him?

I am building a Spirit Tribal deck as well and I love your idea of adding Call to the Kindred . Personally, I took a more creature-centric/aggro route rather than control. I run Hollowhenge Spirit because his combat ability is super fun. Additionally, Doomed Traveler might work well here as a one-drop. Great deck!

So with Venser, the Sojourner how does his +2 help? How does Exiling a card and putting it back on the field help? Do creatures come back as ("Spirit" creatures)? Idk

We have kind of the same deck! Flying Spirit Tap Deck

I definitely suggest using Calciform Pools as a land, especially on control decks where the amount of mana you need per turn varies sporatically based on what your opponent does.

Have you considered replacing the Oblivion Ring with Detention Sphere ? Does almost the same thing for the same converted mana cost, but you could possibly exile multiples of the same creature with Detention Sphere .

How about Geist of Saint Traft? It would be very effective in this deck.

Dokujin says... #22

Traft slows this deck down....I tried it. It's especially bad if you need the mana to lay the captain turn 3 for the kindred spirits turn 4 play so that Reaver gets out on 5 which is this decks #1 priority.

Stay tuned to the SOI prerelease to get your hands on some surprisingly awesome adds to a tribal spirit theme:

Love Blue White as a general rule they are my colors of choice so, good on you for coming up with this! Big fan!

I did something fancy with some heroes and auras in an azorius shell check it out of you want! +1 on this for sure! Cheers!

Join the Drogskol Is my blue white spirit that I made and have had a lot of success with. It might give you some ideas but it doesn't fair well aginist control or discard decks.

Update it for cards in Eldritch Moon and Shadows over Innistrad and then you're good to go.
