Recently the deck hasn't been putting up satisfying results. After a disastrous 3-loss Standard Showdown I decided I need to splash for black, especially for pieces like Adanto Vanguard, which completely navigates around Shocks or Strikes. In this regard, Moment of Craving perfectly removes the card efficiently and securely while also providing me with 2 additional life to recoup any losses I may have taken.

Some people may argue I need to run Lava Coil in this deck over Lightning Strike. Personally, Lava Coil has been more of a dead card for me most of the time than Lightning Strike has. My store meta is control heavy, and if I'm using a Lava Coil on a late game bomb, I'm usually also getting it countered. Overall, Lightning Strike is also face damage which can come in handy to close out games.

My control heavy meta is also why I'm running Banefire in the main board.

I am considering adding Firemind's Research because it's recently proven to be a great way to push for late game finisher damage. More to come there.
