An Izzet deck that is single minded in its pursuit to become "crafted with genius, energized with madness" while drawing and discarding... to mill my opponents.

I originally found a Lantern Control deck list by Zac Elsik that was Colors. After Origins released, I saw Avaricious Dragon and Sphinx's Tutelage and decided to do my own take on the LC deck using colors. I typically enjoy milling and saw a chance to make a mill deck using what is a typically a mechanic, draw/discard. The upside, drawing, would serve to trigger milling, while the downside, discarding, would be taken advantage of with Ensnaring Bridge.

Michael Augustine is credited with the original Lantern Control deck idea.

The deck was made within a Modern card pool, but Faithless Looting has been banned; also it was never meant to be a competitive deck, more of a gimmick idea revolving around the idea of taking advantage of draw and discard to mill. The deck is very fragile due to relying on Ensnaring Bridge to keep threats at bay, empty hands during opponent's turns means you cannot respond to artifact hate, if someone can hexproof themselves than Tutelages become dead weight and anything that can hit hard early or hit your directly presents some issues for the deck. The sideboard is something I play around with from time to time in hopes of answering some of these threats.
