This deck has been modified from it's original version to be competitive in 1v1 French Commander Duel. The format is much faster as each player only starts with 30 life. Also, the banlist is different than the typical EDH (ie Primeval Titan is not banned in the French version, and is included here.) Sol Ring and Mana Vault are both in my multiplayer version, but are banned in French as well.

With all that said, I am looking for suggestions and adjustments I could make to perform top notch. The deck does perform fairly well against most adversaries, but it is very land dependent.

I would like to defend the conjurer's closet before this comes up. My daily opponent uses Zur the Enchanter. While I shouldn't be using a card just because it is good against one General, I have found some amazing synergy between Conjurer's Closet and Bladewing the Risen as well as Bogarden Hellkite , Wall of Blossoms, Primeval Titan, and Scourge of Valkas.

These are the cards I am considering taking out at the moment:Door of Destinies just doesn't seem very powerful here. At most I get it up to 5 counters before the game ends. Utvara Hellkite's Tokens don't tic it up, nor do things like Bladewing's ability, or things like Tooth and Nail. I feel I might be better with a Coat of Arms if I want to stick with a similar card in that slot.

Moonveil Dragon, Hellkite Charger, and Hoarding Dragon do not seem to be pulling their weight. I think there are some better options for these slots. I would like to add a Dragon Broodmother and Hellkite Overlord, but I haven't been able to pick one up locally yet (I try to hard to fight for deals on Ebay and get outbid)

Also, the land isn't too much of a concern at the moment. I am going to pick up most of the $3-$10 dual lands on Thursday. Also I have a bid on a Taiga and Badlands... two days left... wish me luck. Also, I will be grabbing a Cavern of Souls as soon as possible. I feel that it is pretty necessary.

Anywhosits, I am attending and out of town French Commander tournament this coming Sunday. First place is awarded with a FTV: Twenty set sooo needless to say. I want to try and win this thing. I have about $100 at my disposal to improve the deck before Sunday, but I would prefer to stay under about $65. If anyone has any sugesstions I would really appreciate it.
